Thunder Dan's top DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks for today, Friday, 6/20/25. His favorite daily fantasy baseball lineup sleepers and value picks for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.
It's been raining here in Pennsylvania for the last two weeks, but today the forecast is clear, and it's going to be a beautiful day for baseball here and across most of this great nation.
There's some good hitting weather in several ballparks today, so make sure you get a piece of those spots. If you were thinking of fading Coors Field today, think again, as it's going to be 90 degrees and the wind is blowing out.
This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/20/2025, with the slate starting at 7:10 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will showcase elite players, mid-priced options, and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is always essential.
DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Hunter Brown - HOU at LAA (DK: $11.2K; FD: $10.2K)
Brown gets the top pricing tonight on both sites, but for good reason. He's in elite form right now, having whiffed 21 hitters over his last 12 1/3 innings. Tonight, he will face the Angels, who have the third-highest K% vs. RHP over the last month at 25%.
Brown is a -185 favorite on the road and has been enjoying a breakout season. His strikeouts offer a solid floor, and if he can keep the Angels off the scoreboard while racking up Ks, he can compete for top raw points play on the slate.
Joe Ryan - MIN vs. MIL (DK: $9.5K; FD: $9.1K)
This slate has several aces, but Ryan comes at a nice discount from the others. Milwaukee is right in the middle of the pack in terms of its productivity and strikeout rates; however, Ryan is only a month out from owning it when he whiffed nine over six scoreless frames at American Family Field.
He should fly under the radar a bit tonight, but Ryan brings as much upside as guys like Fried, Brown, and Wheeler.
Hayden Birdsong - SF vs. BOS (DK: $8K; FD: $8.3K)
The young right-hander has made just five starts for the Giants since starting the season in the bullpen. He's allowed three runs or fewer in each, striking out between four and six hitters in each outing.

I love attacking Boston here for strikeouts as it has a league-worst 27% K% vs. RHP over the last month. When you factor in the loss of Rafael Devers in last week's trade, too, this lineup lacks much punch with Wilyer Abreu on the IL and prospects like Roman Anthony and Marcelo Mayer struggling to get going.
Point-per-dollar, Birdsong is one of my favorite plays on the slate. I think he has a great shot at going six innings tonight with a K per inning and a win.
Also Consider: Zack Wheeler vs. NYM, Jacob Misiorowski vs. MIN

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Hunter Goodman (C only on DK), C/1B/OF - COL vs. Zac Gallen (DK: $4.5K, FD: $3.7K)
Goodman is leading the charge for a Rockies team that has the seventh-best wRC+ against RHP over the last two weeks. Goodman launched three home runs last series against the Nats and will face Zac Gallen tonight, who has struggled to keep the ball in the yard this year.
Good as gone!

The hitting conditions at Coors Field tonight are too good to pass up, which is why I want some pieces from both teams in my lineups.
Ketel Marte, 2B - ARI vs. Austin Gomber (DK: $6.2K, FD: $4.1K)
While the D-backs haven't hit lefties as well as they did last year, Marte is still crushing southpaws. You'll have to pay a pretty penny for him in this game environment, but Marte has elite on-base skills and is a great bet for a few hits and some run production. He's also an underrated power hitter as he has 12 home runs already this season, and he crushed a career high of 36 last year.
Nick Kurtz, 1B - ATH vs. Tanner Bibee (DK: $3.5K, FD: $3.0K)
Kurtz has come back from his stint on the IL as a man on a mission. He was advertised as a major impact prospect earlier this season, but struggled out of the gate. Well, now he's drilling pitches with regularity, racking up a home run in four of his last five games.
We know this ballpark is a launching pad for hitters. As the weather warms up, we should continue to see a lot of balls leave the yard in Sacramento. Kurtz is too cheap tonight for the roll that he's on; I don't care who is pitching for Cleveland.
Also Consider: Jose Ramirez, 3B (CLE), Jake Cronenworth, 2B (SD), Jeremy Pena, SS (HOU)
DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Jac Caglianone, OF - KC vs. Nick Pivetta (DK: $3.0K, FD: $2.3K)
Sticking with the theme of young sluggers who are finally making good on their prospect label, did you see what Caglianone did last night? The big lefty went yard twice for the Royals and is finally off the schnide in the HR column.
JAC CAGLIANONE DOES IT AGAIN 🤯

— MLB (@MLB) June 19, 2025
This could easily be a chase, but why not target him tonight against a guy like Pivetta, who will challenge him up in the zone with his fastball? Pivetta is a solid pitcher, but he is HR-prone because of how fastball-heavy he can be with his approach.
Cody Bellinger, OF - NYY vs. Tomoyuki Sugano (DK: $4.6K, FD: $3.4K)
Bellinger comes in hot, with five hits in his last two games, and I really can't pass up this spot as Sugano is a HR-prone pitcher who hasn't missed many bats this season. The wind is blowing out to right field at Yankee Stadium, and I could easily see Bellinger getting under one tonight and going yard for the Yankees.
Cam Smith, OF - HOU vs. Yusei Kikuchi (DK: $3.5K, FD: $2.8K)
Smith has been an elite hitter against lefties this season. The lefty has hit four of his five home runs this season against LHP, while posting a .484 ISO and .493 against them. Kikuchi is not a pitcher we have to avoid; he can get lit up just as easily as he can pitch well. The rookie is too cheap for his power in this split.
Also Consider: TJ Friedl (CIN), Lane Thomas (CLE), Parker Meadows (DET)
DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks
Colorado Rockies (5.3 run total) vs. Zac Gallen (ARI)
I suspect that more folks will stack up the Snakes with their implied seven-run team total, and because everyone loves to pick on the Rockies. But I think the Rockies' stack is more compelling as they have been the hotter offense recently. Gallen hasn't been himself this year, and the Arizona bullpen has been in bad shape, too.
Toronto Blue Jays (5.5 run total) vs. Davis Martin (CWS)
The Jays don't strike out much and have been making some elite contact lately. That doesn't bode well for Davis Martin and the White Sox tonight. This Toronto team isn't even that expensive to stack, so building four-man stacks (on FanDuel) and five-man stacks on DraftKings should be relatively easy.
