Chris Sale - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/14/2024, with the slate starting at 7:05 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Chris Sale vs. TB ($10,500 DraftKings; $11,100 FanDuel)

After an off performance that saw him get torched by the Athletics, Sale allowed two runs and recorded 10 strikeouts across seven innings in his last start against the Nationals. That marked the sixth time over his last seven starts that he finished with at least eight strikeouts. The Rays have struck out the sixth-most times in baseball, so this matchup leaves Sale with significant upside.

Luis Castillo vs. TEX ($8,600 DraftKings; $9,900 FanDuel)

Castillo had his start pushed back to Friday, so he will have had five days off since his last start. While he was touched up for five runs over five innings by the Royals in his last outing, he had given up two or fewer earned runs in each of his previous 10 starts. That included a start against the Rangers in which he allowed two runs and recorded six strikeouts across six innings. He is also an excellent option for their rematch.

Simeon Woods Richardson vs. OAK ($7,500 DraftKings; $8,000 FanDuel)

Woods Richardson has taken advantage of some favorable opponents to record a 2.84 ERA and 3.54 FIP this season. The downside with him is that he only has a 20.3 percent strikeout rate. However, he could provide added production in that department for this outing, given that the Athletics have struck out the second-most times in baseball.

Also consider: Freddy Peralta vs. CIN, Matt Waldron at NYM

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Oneil Cruz – SS, PIT vs. Ryan Feltner ($4,900 DK; $3,600 FD)

Feltner has a 1.48 WHIP this season, which is right in line with his career 1.51 WHIP. He also has a lowly 19.2 percent strikeout rate for his career. That combination of poor stats makes him someone to attack at Coors Field. One of the more dangerous hitters to consider on the Pirates is Cruz, who has a career .232 ISO and .361 wOBA versus right-handed pitchers.

Nick Gonzales – 2B, PIT vs. Ryan Feltner ($4,800 DK; $3,700 FD)

Gonzales was excellent at Triple-A last year, recording a .225 ISO and a .388 wOBA over 99 games. After posting even better numbers there this season, he has become a key part of the Pirates lineup. Through 29 games, he has a .194 ISO and a .356 wOBA. What’s really encouraging has been his 11.9 percent barrel rate. He is another great option for a Pirates stack.

Justin Turner – 1B, TOR vs. Logan Allen ($3,600 DK; $2,700 FD)

It has been a struggle for Allen, who enters with a 5.57 ERA and a 5.50 FIP. Opponents have recorded a 47.1 percent hard-hit rate against him, which has contributed to his 1.52 WHIP. This could be an ideal matchup to take a chance on Turner, who has a 143 wRC+ versus left-handed pitchers this season.

Also consider: Matt Olson, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bo Bichette

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Luis Robert Jr. - OF, SEA vs. Ryne Nelson ($4,800 DK; $3,600 FD)

Robert is one of the few dangerous hitters within the White Sox’s lineup. Injuries have limited him to just 16 games, but he has already hit seven home runs. Last season, he went deep 38 times over 145 games. His power makes him especially dangerous for Nelson, who has allowed a 1.44 WHIP and a 10.6 percent barrel rate for his career.

Bryan Reynolds – OF, PIT vs. Ryan Feltner ($4,700 DK; $3,600 FD)

Going back to the Pirates facing Feltner, Reynolds is also a top option to consider. He is currently on an 11-game hitting streak that has seen him go 15-for-46 (.326) with a .380 OBP. He hit one home run, one triple, and four doubles during that span.

Heliot Ramos – OF, SF vs. Tyler Anderson ($4,100 DK; $3,600 FD)

Don’t get overly excited about Anderson’s 2.63 ERA. His FIP is much worse at 4.72 and he only has a 16.0 percent strikeout rate. Despite allowing a 9.8 percent barrel rate, opponents have just a .218 BABIP against him. This is still an intriguing matchup to roll with Ramos, who has a 1.502 OPS versus lefties this season.

Also consider: Fernando Tatis Jr., Riley Greene, Jake McCarthy
