Tyler Lockett Injury Update

Tyler Lockett popped up on the injury report in Week 7 with a hamstring injury and ended up missing that Friday's practice. Despite that, the veteran was able to suit up this past Sunday. Lockett then opened this week missing two practices, but was a full participant on Friday. Seattle officially listed him as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns.

It has been a wild ride following Lockett's injury report the past two weeks, but he appears to be on track to play. The 31-year-old is likely at less than 100%, and DK Metcalf is set to make his return after missing last week. Cleveland is a stiff defense against pass catchers, so don't expect a massive game from Lockett, especially with this lingering hamstring injury.

Joshua Palmer Injury Update

Joshua Palmer did not appear to suffer an injury in this past Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs. However, the 24-year-old missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday with a knee injury before getting in a limited session on Friday. Los Angeles listed Palmer as questionable for Sunday night's game against the Chicago Bears.

Head coach Brandon Staley stated that Palmer is a game-time decision, making it difficult for fantasy managers since the game is the prime-time matchup on Sunday night. The pivot option would be the extremely underwhelming Quentin Johnston, but it may be best for fantasy managers to find another player since there are no teams on bye in Week 8, and their options are much deeper this week.

Deebo Samuel Injury Update

Deebo Samuel missed last week's game against the Minnesota Vikings due to a shoulder injury. The 49ers stated that the top receiver would be out a couple of weeks and made that official on Friday when they ruled Samuel out for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The veteran had done some work on the side this week but never logged any official practice participation this past week. With the 49ers on bye in Week 9, fantasy managers should plan to be without Samuel until Week 10 at the earliest. Brandon Aiyuk, George Kittle, and Jauan Jennings will operate as the three main pass catchers against the Bengals this weekend.

Curtis Samuel Injury Update

Curtis Samuel popped up on this week's injury report with a foot injury. The 27-year-old missed Wednesday's practice but was able to return the next two days in a limited fashion. Washington officially listed Samuel as questionable for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday.

Week 7 was a down week for the Commanders' slot receiver after having a solid three-game streak of production. Samuel finished in the top 12 the last time he played Philadelphia back in Week 4 and would be a solid flex option if active. Jahan Dotson would be the biggest beneficiary if Samuel were to miss the game this weekend.

Zay Jones Injury Update

Zay Jones has dealt with a knee injury for the majority of the season, and it has cost him the past two games. With no practice participation again this past week, the Jaguars officially ruled the 28-year-old out for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Christian Kirk has been the biggest target beneficiary in Jones' absence this year and should continue to be peppered with targets. Calvin Ridley and tight end Evan Engram should be next in line. Fantasy managers should prepare to continue to be without Jones until he can put in any sort of practice participation.

Robert Woods Injury Update

Robert Woods suffered a foot injury in Week 6 against the New Orleans Saints, and even with the extra time to rest due to the Texans' Week 7 bye, he was unable to participate in practice this past week. Houston officially ruled the veteran out for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers on Friday.

Woods has not done much for fantasy purposes, but he has been a target machine, averaging 7.2 per game this season. Those will likely be spread to the duo of Nico Collins and Tank Dell, with Dell absorbing the most due to his role in the slot. Both are solid fantasy options against the Panthers in Week 8.

Randall Cobb Injury Update

Randall Cobb is dealing with a shoulder injury that has kept him limited in practice this past week. The veteran slot receiver was given the questionable tag by the New York Jets for their Sunday matchup against the New York Giants.

Cobb has not been fantasy-relevant, but his absence would open up a few more targets for the likes of Allen Lazard and tight end Tyler Conklin who have decent matchups against the Giants secondary in Week 8.
