FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (4/11/21): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

Mike Trout - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB Injury News, DFS and Betting Picks

Mike Marteny highlights the top FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks for 4/11/21, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters. | RotoBaller.

The main slate on FanDuel for our Sunday features a strong ten-game slate. We are back around to slimmer pickings for pitchers. Fortunately on FanDuel we only have to use one. The downside of that is that we'd better not miss on the pitcher.

Once again, this is a more balanced slate with no Coors. Keep an eye on the roof status in Texas. If the roof is open, the ball flies much better. Expect the roof to be closed in Toronto and rain to be prevalent in New York. If the weather goes by the forecast, they will be lucky to even get this game in. The Mets-Marlins are probably a full fade for me.

I'll be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for the FanDuel main slate on 4/11/2021. Be sure to also check out all the MLB player news, including late scratches, and the projected and confirmed daily MLB lineups for each DFS slate. You can also check out today's DraftKings MLB DFS lineup picks, and read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports too. Let's get to it!

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Cash Game/GPP Anchor Play:

Trevor Williams – CHC at PIT ($8,000)

Pitching is a little rough today, especially when you take Marcus Stroman off the slate. Williams is the safest option, but not necessarily the one with the most upside. Williams was strong in his opener with his new club, and even flashed a little more strikeout upside. Today he goes back to his former home to take on his former team. The Pirates have only scored 27 runs in eight games and have been outscored by 21 runs. There is potential here.

Potential Alternate Play

Dylan Cease – CWS vs. KC ($6,300)

Cease didn't go deep in his first start, so that's a bit of a concern. However, the Royals have only scored two runs in three games since the season opening series against the Rangers in which the offense went nuts. There is very good strikeout potential here for Cease. He held the Royals to a .217 average last season. The Royals offensive stats are skewed from the Rangers series. I don't know that anyone in this Royals lineup scares me right now.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Jose Abreu – 1B, CWS vs. KC ($3,900)

Abreu is off to a little slower start from a batting average standpoint, but his hard hit percentage and exit velocity are the best on the team right now. Mike Minor is a crafty veteran who doesn't really have special stuff, but he does get guys out. He did give up ten homers to righties last year in only 156 at bats. I like the idea of going after Minor with some right handed power. I like the way Abreu is making hard contact right now. He's the one most likely to get one out on Minor unless you want to throw a dart with the white-hot Yermin Mercedes.

Cesar Hernandez – 2B, CLE at DET ($2,700)

Hernandez hit his first homer of the season yesterday and is looking to keep it going against a pitcher that he has absolutely smashed. Hernandez has three homers in 33 at bats in his career against Jose Urena. A few Cleveland hitters profile well against Urena. Hernandez is one of them and is by far the cheapest.

Rafael Devers – 3B, BOS at BAL ($2,900)

Devers had only played one game against Jorge Lopez. He homered twice off of him in that game. That has been the bugaboo throughout Lopez's career. He has allowed a lot of home runs to both righties and lefties. Lefties are still hitting over .300 against him over his career. A Boston stack is one of my favorite spots on the slate with Devers, J.D. Martinez, and Alex Verugo my main targets.

Marcus Semien – 2B/SS, TOR vs. LAA ($3,600)

Semien is off to a hot start this year with three homers already. He's batting leadoff for a potent lineup and is facing a pitcher in Alex Cobb that has some nasty reverse splits over his career. I'll ride the hot hand with Semien since his batting metrics play out very well to start the season. Bo Bichette has far more power potential though.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Mike Trout – OF, LAA at TOR ($4,500)

The Blue Jays haven't named a starter yet and it really doesn't matter who it is. As per usual, Trout is breaking Statcast at this point of the season with 70% hard contact, a walk rate over 25%, and a barrel percentage right at 25%. Oh, and Trout is hitting .414 with three homers and six RBI already. Trout is expensive, but with no real reason to pay up for pitching today, it's not hard to fit Trout in.

Aaron Judge – OF, NYY at TB ($4,000)

Judge's average exit velocity is nearly 100 mph on the young season with a 56% hard hit percentage. Add in the 16.7% barrel percentage and you have a guy that can really light up a guy like Honeywell. Yeah, he's a prospect, but these are the Yankees. Giancarlo Stanton is leading the team in RBI and Gary Sanchez is leading the team in barrel percentage. Take a few Yankees that are currently hitting the ball well if you want to chase a guy like Honeywell.

Randy Arozarena– OF, TB vs. NYY ($3,000)

Jordan Montgomery looked outstanding in his first start of the season, but he still has issues with homers given up to right-handed batters. He has allowed 27 in only 828 career at bats to righties. This is more of a one-off situation than stacking against Montgomery. Taking a shot with a few Yankees against youngster Brent Honeywell is probably a better plan, but I will have some exposure to right handed power against Montgomery on the other side of this.
