DraftKings NBA DFS Picks for Today (Thursday, 2/6/25): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Kyrie Irving - NBA DFS Lineup Picks, Fantasy Basketball Rankings

Zach's top DraftKings NBA DFS picks for today, Thursday, 2/6/25. His favorite daily fantasy basketball lineup sleepers and value picks for DraftKings DFS.

It's trade deadline day in the NBA, and this week has already been packed with a bunch of big moves. Will we see some other big names like Kevin Durant on the move today? Stay tuned; things could get very interesting!

We have six games tonight, with the majority of them tipping off later in the evening, which should help us buy some time to figure out who's playing and who's not. Let's dive in and find some good options to build around from a DFS perspective on DraftKings. If you're looking for FanDuel-specific advantage, check out Koby Hanson's FanDuel picks!

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 2/6/25. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 7:30 p.m. EST on DraftKings.

DraftKings NBA DFS Core Picks

LeBron James, LAL – PF ($10.8K)

The ageless one is getting some help soon, but Luka Doncic won't suit up tonight, and former Charlotte big man Mark Williams was just acquired late last night, so he won't be ready for his Laker debut just yet either.

So we get LeBron playing hero ball, running the offense, taking the most shots, and probably playing heavy minutes attempting to lead his Lakers to a win at home against the Warriors.

LBJ posted 51 DK points against Golden State in 35 minutes just two weeks ago, and that was in a game that Anthony Davis also played in. I look for him to put up a big number tonight as he'll have to do most of the heavy lifting.

Kyrie Irving, DAL – PG ($8.7)

I am operating on the assumption that Davis doesn't make his Dallas debut tonight. If we get news that Davis is playing, then Kyrie doesn't become quite as big of a priority and moves into more of a GPP play.

But we saw what Kyrie can do the other night with no P.J. Washington as he attempted 20+ shots from the field for the third straight game and finished with 34 actual points. He has 48, 42, and 55 DK points in his last three games, and yet he's still under 9k tonight against Boston.

Fire up Kyrie in all formats, he's in great form and should be motivated to get a win against one of his former teams (if you love the narrative angles!)

Naz Reid, MIN – PF/C ($6.3K)

Julius Randle, who? Reid is taking full advantage of his chance to start by putting up video game numbers. After scoring 30 points on Monday night, he came back with 22 points, 10 boards, six assists, and three stocks in last night's win over the Bulls.

He has a 23% usage rate as a starter and is simply too cheap for his new role as the second scoring option on offense behind Anthony Edwards. Lock and load Reid in those lineups tonight; he's not likely to disappoint.

Others Under Consideration: Deandre Ayton - C ($7K), Anthony Edwards - PG/SG ($9.7K)

DraftKings NBA DFS Tournament Pivots

Kristaps Porzingis, BOS - C ($7.5K)

If Dallas is without Davis on the interior tonight, then I think Porzingis can win his matchup against Daniel Gafford who is more of a traditional center and rim protector who is more comfortable defending in the paint.

Porzo has been rock solid of late and has flashed a 40+ DK point ceiling three times over his last four games. We are seeing his minutes up in the 30s, too, which is a great sign and a key aspect of his ability to produce 6x value or better.

I don't think we see much rostership on the Boston players tonight as they are favored by 10 points at home, but if Dallas keeps this game close, then pairing Porzingis with Kyrie Irving could be a GPP-winning move.

Michael Porter Jr., DEN - SF/PF ($6.4K)

Maybe MPJ just loves playing against New Orleans, but he went nuclear again last night with 68 DK points in 37 minutes. That comes after he already had 53 DK points against the Pels on Monday night, too.

Orlando plays much better defense, but MPJ is still very fairly priced here and playing huge minutes (39 per game over his last three). With Russell Westbrook and Peyton Watson still out, he should see as many minutes as he can handle, and perhaps he can keep the hot shooting going tonight.

Franz Wagner, ORL - SF ($8.5K)

Wagner interests me tonight, and I think he could go under the radar. He got up 22 shots in just 27 minutes against the Kings last night as the Magic blew out the Kings. We are seeing him take over as the top scorer on offense,e even with Paolo Banchero healthy.

The Magic are seven-point underdogs tonight, but they'll battle, and I wouldn't be surprised if this game came down to the final few minutes. If we get 35 minutes of Wagner in a crazy-high usage role, I love his chances at 50+ DK points tonight.

Others Under Consideration: Rudy Gobert - C ($6.8K), Amen Thompson - PG/SF ($8.4K)

DraftKings NBA DFS Value Picks

Brandin Podziemski, GSW – PG/SG ($4.4K)

The Warriors made a splash by acquiring Jimmy Butler late last night. They are sending Andrew Wiggins back to Miami while several other rotational players (Dennis Schroder, Lindy Waters III, Kyle Anderson) are heading to other teams.

Podziemski played 40 minutes last night as a result of Golden State being so shorthanded and he delivered one the best performances of his young career. He's stupid cheap still and should likely be asked to play big minutes again tonight.

Christian Braun, DEN – SG/SF ($5.5K)

Braun and MPJ have both flashed big ceilings lately as they continue to play heavy minutes for an injury-depleted Denver team. Despite going for 46 DK points last night, Braun's price didn't budge, and he makes for a very solid play tonight as a result.

Rui Hachimura, LAL – SF/PF ($5.3K)

Hach has 32 DK points in three straight games for the Lakers, as he's had to step up in the absence of Davis. Now Dalton Knecht is gone in a trade and both Doncic and Williams are not likely to make their Laker debuts tonight. I'll plug in Hach and take 6x value on his price all day.

Max Christie, DAL – SG ($5K)

The former Laker made a big impression in his Dallas debut. Christie played 32 minutes off the bench and posted a 15-9-3 line that was good for 33.8 DK points. Look for him to get a similar amount of run tonight for Dallas and get up a bunch of shots with the bench unit.

Others Under Consideration: Quinten Post - C ($3.8K), Kevon Looney - C ($4K), Jaxson Hayes - C ($4.5K), Buddy Hield - SG ($4.2K)
