FanDuel NBA DFS Picks for Today (Thursday 2/6/25): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Koby's favorite FanDuel NBA DFS picks for today, Thursday - 2/6/25. His top daily fantasy basketball lineup sleepers and value picks for FanDuel DFS contests.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! Today is the hardest DFS day of the year, and I'm here to hopefully make that easier. With the looming trade deadline, we have quite a few guys to watch. Luckily, it's a smaller six-game slate, so there are fewer teams we have to watch the news for. Mark Williams was just traded to the Lakers but will likely not be available for tonight's game.

I always make it a point to recommend some higher-priced players for cash games and GPPs while highlighting some of my favorite value plays and game stacks. As for injured or traded guys, keep an eye on them as they may be unavailable: Anthony Davis, LeBron James, P.J. Washington, Julius Randle, Jalen Suggs, Tari Eason, and Jrue Holiday.

This article will provide my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 2/6/25. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 7:30 EST on FanDuel.

FanDuel NBA DFS Core Picks

LeBron James, LAL - SF/PF ($10.4K)

LeBron is going to have to shoulder a bigger load, with a couple of trades being made, the Lakers may be a little short-handed for this one. LeBron has had 44+ in four straight games since Anthony Davis went down, and he gets a decent matchup against the Warriors. Steph Curry vs. Lebron James usually results in a classic, so I'm expecting a big game from both of them.

Deni Avdija, POR - SF/PF ($6.9K)

With trade rumors swirling, Deni could be in line for an even larger workload. Avdija has been lights out recently, even if no one gets traded and the Kings have given up the fourth most fantasy points to opposing SFs across the last seven games. Deni is still a relatively good price and could make for a boom play if he keeps up the fast-paced intensity he brings to the table.

Andrew Nembhard, IND - PG/SG ($6.2K)

I love Nembhard for a core play, he is in one of the highest-paced games on the slate tonight and has been a consistent 30+ FP across the last five games. The Pacers will want to look to bounce back after a flat performance on Tuesday. In this high-scoring matchup, Nembhard should be good for at least a 5x tonight.

Others Under Consideration: Derrick White - SG/PG ($6.8K), Nikola Jokic - C ($12.9K), Jayson Tatum -SF/PF (10.1K)

FanDuel NBA DFS Tournament Pivots

Michael Porter Jr., DEN - SF/PF ($7K)

Michael Porter Jr. is coming off back-to-back monster games, dropping 36+ points in those games, and now he gets an elite matchup. The Magic are giving up the most fantasy points to opposing SFs across the last 15 games. He also scored 50+ FP in those two games; he could be in for another massive performance.

Anthony Edwards, MIN – SG/SF ($9.7K)

Edwards has benefited from Julius Randle being out and being the full focus of the offense. He has scored 60+ FP in three of his last four games. He now gets an elite matchup against the Rockets who have given up the fourth most fantasy points across the previous 15 games.

Scoot Henderson, POR - PG ($6.1K)

There are hints that Anfernee Simons or Jerami Grant could get traded by the deadline, and if that's the case, make way for the Scoot show. The Blazers are 9-1 in their last 10 games and have been a well-oiled machine. If either of those guys are traded, that should open up more minutes and more production for Scoot.

Others Under Consideration: Victor Wembanyama- PF/C ($11.9K), Donovan Mitchell - PG/SG ($8.7K)

FanDuel NBA DFS Value Picks

Naji Marshall, DAL – SF/PF ($4,9K)

P.J. Washington might be out once again, and the Mavericks are light in the big men department. Naji finished with 40 FP in just 25 minutes! He has a tough matchup against the Celtics but with them as shorthanded as they are Naji should still get solid usage in the offense.

Jaxson Hayes, LAL - C ($4.5K)

Hayes bit me in the butt last time out, but he gets a great matchup against the Warriors, who have been giving up the ninth most fantasy points to opposing Centers across the previous 15 games. It's unlikely we'll see Mark Williams in this one so Hayes should shoulder the majority of the workload in the paint tonight.

Brandin Podziemski, GSW - SG/SF ($5.1K)

Brandin should see an increase in his role with Andrew Wiggins gone and Jimmy Butler likely not ready to start in tonight's game. In his last game against the Lakers, he finished with 34 FP and should continue to see a big role in this offense. Just last night he played 39 minutes and finished with a season-high 44 FP.

Cole Anthony, ORL – PG/SG ($5.3K)

Cole Anthony has resumed his role as the primary guard for this team. He has shown he can be a big part of this offense as he has two 42+ FP games in the last three games. The Nuggets have been exploitable across the seven games and have given up the sixth most fantasy points to PGs in that time.

Max Christie, DAL – SG ($4.7K)

Max was immediately able to make an impact in the lineup. He played 31 minutes in his debut and finished with 31 FP. At 4.7k, he makes for an intriguing value play if the Mavericks can keep the game against the Celtics relatively close.

Others Under Consideration: Cam Whitmore- SF/PF ($4.2K), Keon Ellis- PG/SG ($4.4K), Dante Exum- PG/SG ($4.3K)
