DraftKings EuroLeague DFS Lineup Picks for 1/28/21 - Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Mike Marteny offers his DraftKings daily fantasy EuroLeague basketball plays and sleepers for 1/28/21. His EuroLeague DFS lineup picks and sleepers will help you win on DraftKings.

Round 23 of EuroLeague play kicks off with a rather small three-game slate. Much like with NBA small slates, we have to get creative in order to have a chance at a takedown. There are more options in the EuroLeague due to more teams running loose rotations, but on the other hand, the play that wins you some cash one week may get you zero the next. While EuroLeague rotations run deep, they don't always run equally with the same players. Even though this is a small slate, I like this one quite a bit. Game stacks of two of the three games are firmly in play.

On DraftKings, you build a six-person lineup with two guards, three forwards, and one utility slot. You also don't get the multi-positional eligibility that their NBA product is known for. If you are a FanDuel player, don't fret. They have EuroLeague contests over there as well. What I have noticed on FanDuel is that they are very slow with game log updates and with pricing on players returning from injury. It's much easier to find value on the FanDuel side of things.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy EuroLeague lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/28/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard, forward, and center, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings EuroLeague DFS Guards

Alexey Shved, Khimki ($12,300)

The general rule of EuroLeague is to play Shved whenever he's active. The only exception over the last two years has been against Anadolu Efes Istanbul. Against everyone else Shved constantly clears 30 DraftKings points. 3x value is usually enough to hit the cash line, but much like with NBA, your best bet is to get a sure 2.5-3x from the top guys and find bargain plays that smash value. Shved put up 33 DraftKings points in his first meeting with the other Istanbul team. For that reason, a fade isn't totally out of the question in GPP contests. Especially when you consider a couple of tasty matchups further down the list.

Errick McCollum, Khimki ($7,500)

C.J.'s brother is essentially a cheaper version of Kevin Punter. The difference is that Stefan Jovic is still out for Khimki so Errick has a clear path to minutes. I honestly prefer the Fenerbahce side of this for DFS purposes. I make it a point to target Khimki on the perimeter. The difference today is that all three Fenerbahce guards play around the same amount of minutes and none of them besides Nando are very consistent. I will likely run some Fenerbahce piece in different lineups, but I prefer the upside of McCollum in GPP formats. Vyacheslav Zaytsev and Dairis Bertans are the safer ways to stay with Khimki if you don't trust the streaky McCollum.

Billy Baron, St. Petersburg ($5,400)

The St. Petersburg guards are known more for their defense than DFS output. The price on Kevin Pangos feels inflated to me, and honestly, I love the value of Baron. Baron rarely plays more than half the game which ultimately caps his upside, but we're not playing a guy at this price on upside. We're playing him to get sure double figures at a very low price. Baron is a nice pairing with Shved so you don't have to go cheap up front.

Also consider: Nando de Colo, Fenerbahce ($9,800); Kevin Punter, Milan ($8,600); Lorenzo Brown, Fenerbahce ($7,900)

DraftKings EuroLeague DFS Forwards

Jan Vesely, Fenerbahce ($10,100)

You can go after the Khimki front here and feel comfortable with it, especially when none of the guards in this matchup stand out. This is more an indictment of the injuries that ravage the top of the forward heap. Nikola Mirotic is still being brought along slowly for Barcelona and likely wont hit value at that exorbitant price. Both Jordan Mickey and Devin Booker are out for Khimki, so that makes me feel really good about Vesely here. This looks like a superb spot for Vesely and his frontcourt friends.

Arturas Gudaitis, St. Petersburg ($9,400)

Gudaitis has overcome a slow start to be the best player for St. Petersburg since the calendar flipped to 2021. Gudaitis is averaging 31.2 DraftKings points per game in five January tilts. He should be a fixture in all cash games, and if you go with Khimki value, you can comfortably fit both Gudaitis and Vesely with Shved. That's going to be my main GPP build today along with a somewhat balanced one anchored by Gudaitis. He's the one guy I wont fade today.

Sergey Monia, Khimki ($6,700)

Hey, someone has to fill the shoes of Mickey and Booker. Monia has played more than 30 minutes in the last two games and notched more than 3x value in two of his last three. The price hike from round 22 will cramp our lineups a little bit, but sure things are almost impossible to come by in this price range. The fact remains that Fenerbahce has allowed the most fantasy points in the EuroLeague to forwards this season. Someone from the Khimki interior is going to have a big game. Monia has to be considered the favorite to do so.

Also consider: Mateusz Ponitka, St. Petersburg ($8,100); Janis Timma, Khimki ($6,200); Andrey Zubkov, St. Petersburg ($5,200)
