DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (9/10/16): MLB DFS Advice

Baseball gets one more day before the NFL season kicks into high gear and everyone forgets about America's past time. Luckily, there's a full slate of games Saturday and several variety of DraftKings contests to participate in.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/10/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings. The following targets have been selected for all day contests on DraftKings.

Editor's Note: Purchase a full season NFL Premium Pass (including Draft Kit + DFS Premium), and also get MLB Premium + DFS for free through October. Premium DFS lineup picks, expert lineups, tools and more - seven days a week. You can see screenshots of our NFL Premium and MLB Premium and DFS tools. What are you waiting for?

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

Kansas City Royals vs. James Shields (RHP)

It's that time of the week again -- time to stack a lineup against Chicago's James Shields. The Royals are the lucky team this time. Shields was rocked again in his last outing, allowing five runs in just 2.1 innings of work against Minnesota. He's dealing with a minor back injury, but is still scheduled to make the start. Righties and lefties have both hit well off of Shields this year, so any Kansas City player you can fit in today will be good. The right-hander has lost five of his last seven starts and has allowed under four earned runs just once in that stretch.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Eduardo Rodriguez (LHP)

Toronto already had success against Rodriguez this year and will look to do the same today. In just 5.2 innings the Blue Jays pounded him for five earned runs. Overall, current Toronto hitters have a lifetime .271 average against him. The righties have fared particularly well against him, so target guys like Darwin Barney, Josh Donaldson, and Edwin Encarnacion.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Max Scherzer, WAS vs. PHI - $14,400

This one will certainly cost you, but on a day that doesn't feature a ton of great pitching matchups, you might as well spend the money on a near sure thing. Scherzer has been dealing this year, especially recently. He heads into today with wins in each of his last four starts and six in his last eight. He gets a favorable game against Philadelphia today, having posted a 3-0 record in four starts against the Phillies this season.

Adam Wainwright, STL vs. MIL - $8,100

Wainwright has been excellent against the Brewers this season, posting a record of 1-0 in two starts. He's allowed just one run in 14 innings against them this year. Add the fact that current Milwaukee hitters have a combined lifetime average of .215 against him, and Wainwright makes for a very solid option today.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C)

J.T. Realmuto, MIA vs. LAD - $3,300

Normally, someone with a nine-game hit streak and five games with double-digit fantasy points would be priced somewhere in the high range. However, that's not the case with J.T. Realmuto. The Miami catcher still gets overlooked and remains at a value price despite solid production. He's hitting .313 for the season with 10 home runs and is averaging over seven fantasy points a game. He's recorded at least three fantasy points in 10 of his last 11 games and makes for a safe selection today

First Base (1B)

Victor Martinez, DET vs. BAL - $3,100

Martinez went yard Friday night and extended his hit streak to four games. With his price where it is now he's providing excellent value for daily fantasy owners. He's averaging seven fantasy points a game and has failed to produce any fantasy points just once in the last seven games. Target Martinez for his price today. Oh, and by the way, he's 11-for-31 with a .355 average, four home runs and 12 RBI lifetime against opposing starter Ubaldo Jimenez.

Second Base (2B)

Jonathan Schoop, BAL at DET - $3,900

Schoop has been a very consistent play in daily fantasy leagues this season. His average of fantasy points per game is still above seven, and his overall numbers are very solid (.275, 22HRs). He homered Friday night and enters today with back-to-back double-digit fantasy performances. It own't cost you much to see if the young second baseman keeps the hot streak up.

Shortstop (SS)

Jose Iglesias, DET vs. BAL - $2,300

Iglesias has an average of just .244 this season, but he's still a very sneaky pick today. He'll get overlooked in all formats, but can provide some production (five fantasy points a game) at a very cheap price. He's a streaky player, but gets a very favorable matchup with Ubaldo Jimenez. In seven official at-bats against the right-hander, Iglesias is 4-for-7 with a home run and four RBI.

Third Base (3B)

David Freese, PIT vs. CIN - $2,900

Freese's teammate, Jung Ho Kang, is by far the hotter hitter right now, but he's priced nearly $2,000 higher. Freese has been a great value pick for most of the season, averaging six fantasy points a game and keep a price tag right around $3,000. He enters today with a three-game hit streak, including two multi-hit performances. He won't put up monster fantasy numbers, but the price and the production are both worth a start.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Colby Rasmus, HOU vs. CHC - $3,300

With a low price and an average over six fantasy points a game, Rasmus can be a very valuable pick for fantasy lineups. Although he went 0-for-3 Friday, he had back-to-back home run on Wednesday and Thursday. With an average of just .214, Rasmus isn't a sure bet to get on base, but with a low ownership number and some recent success, he's a good sleeper pick today. In his last six games he's averaging nine fantasy points.

Jarrod Dyson, KC at CHW- $4,300

Dyson has been a great value pick lately and enters today with a six-game hit streak. Three of those games have been multi-hit performances, with two of them coming in the last four games. Dyson's season average wont jump out at you, but for daily leagues you'll like the price tag and the fact that a lot of owners usually steer clear. He's 2-for-3 in his brief career against James Shields and could very well add to that today.

Ian Desmond, TEX at LAA - $4,400

Desmond has been reward fantasy owners all season and continues to show up on this list as a target. He's had another good week, hitting .276 with a homer, and has two multi-hit games in his last three. Fresh off a 19-point fantasy performance Thursday, Desmond is a very safe bet to rack up some solid points for you today.
