Chris Godwin's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 13 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Chris Godwin for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3
ANALYSIS: On just seven targets in Week 12, Tampa Bay Buccaneers wideout Chris Godwin had just three catches for 45 yards against the Indianapolis Colts. Godwin was added to Tampa Bay's Week 13 injury report, showing up as limited on Thursday, and then was a non-participant in Friday's practice due to a neck issue. Coach Todd Bowles called Godwin a game-time decision so his status leaves fantasy managers nervous about if he is worth a start this week.
In Week 13, he'll face the Carolina Panthers, who rank third in the NFL in total yards allowed this season. Even though the matchup on paper is a rough one for Godwin, his target share has remained consistent despite the low production and should expect to continue to see that against Carolina. Although there is still mystery involved with Godwin's injury, fantasy managers should view him as a strong flex play with high-WR3 potential and continue to monitor his status up until game time.
Godwin is ranked #31 in our Half-ppr rankings for Week 13.
