Should I Start Caleb Williams for Fantasy Football?
Caleb Williams has definitely had some bright flashes with Ben Johnson as his head coach. Unfortunately, a lot of the same inconsistencies as a passer. Still, it hasn’t been all bad for fantasy managers who gambled that Johnson would be able to help Williams elevate his game in 2025.

Williams is currently the QB14 in fantasy points per game (16.3), thanks in large part to his ability to elevate the talent around him. Williams has two top 10 positional finishes this season, including a QB1 overall finish in Week 3.
The second-year quarterback is set to face off against a Baltimore Ravens defense that, while talented, has struggled to live up to expectations this year. Baltimore is giving up the second most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season, 21.9, while giving up 14 touchdowns and generating just one interception.
Williams should be considered a low-end QB1 due to his offensive environment and rushing ability every week, but he has QB1 overall upside in this matchup.
Should I Start Joe Flacco for Fantasy Football?
Joe Flacco went from being benched with the Cleveland Browns to a fantasy-relevant quarterback since being traded to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Over the last two weeks, Flacco has completed 65.2% for 561 yards, five touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Flacco is averaging 46 pass attempts per game with the Bengals, thanks to a combination of elite pass-catching weapons and one of the worst defenses in the NFL this season. He has been the QB9 in fantasy (22.4) the last two games.
Despite his high-level play with the Bengals, Week 8 is a difficult matchup for several reasons. The Jets offense has struggled this season and will once again be without Garrett Wilson. They may not be able to push the Bengals into a high-volume passing attack. The team is also getting healthy on the defensive line, which is not ideal for a terrible Bengals offensive line.
Flacco’s floor is a dependable QB2, but with enough passing volume, he can be a low-end QB1 once again if Justin Fields can have a high-end day.
Should I Start Jaxson Dart for Fantasy Football?
Jaxson Dart has played at a high level since being named the Giants' starting quarterback in Week 4. Dart is completing 60.2% of his passes for 791 yards, seven touchdowns, and three interceptions. He’s been dynamic as a rusher as well, handling 35 carries for 178 yards and three touchdowns. He’s been the QB4 in fantasy since then, averaging 22.6 points per game.

On paper, the Philadelphia Eagles' defense is highly talented, even if they have struggled throughout this season. Fantasy quarterbacks are averaging 16.5 points per game against the Eagles this season.
Dart has already played on the Eagles once this season. He finished as the QB3 that week, scoring 22.6 fantasy points. In that game, he completed 68% of his passes for 195 yards and a touchdown while adding 13 carries for 58 yards and a touchdown.
On one hand, we have seen Dart have a great game against the Eagles once. On the other, the Eagles are the first team that has seen him twice and has film to adjust to his strengths and weaknesses.
Dart should be considered a low-end QB1, but carries a bit more risk now that we will have our first team that will be able to make adjustments to his play style.
