FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (6/6/19): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

Nate Duffett highlights the top FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks for 6/6/19, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

There are 13 games on the schedule today. I will be making picks for both the early and main slates.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 6/6/2019. The picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

We also provide DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me on Twitter @Roto_Nate.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Zack Wheeler: NYM vs SF ($10,200) (Early)

Wheeler is the highest-priced pitcher on the slate by a wide margin, but I believe it is well-deserved as he is the only pitcher here where I can't see a road to a blowup. There are enough mediocre pitchers on this slate where we can find value at the hitting positions, so it wouldn't be a bad play to pay up and get the higher floor and ceiling here. Wheeler hasn't had an outing shorter than six innings since April 7th, and he boasts a 10.2 K/9 on the season. A high strikeout upside and extended outings equal a lot of fantasy points, something that I can't say is true for any of the other pitchers.

J.A. Happ: NYY at TOR ($8,600) (Main)

Happ has been attempting to turnaround his season after a rough start but looked good in his last outing against the Red Sox allowing one earned run over five innings. The Blue Jays are one of the worst-hitting teams in the Majors against left-handed pitching and have played well over their head in the first two games of the series, en route to a chance to sweep the Yankees. I can't see the Jays succeeding in sweeping the Yankees, but I can see a scenario where the Blue Jays struggle to get anything going and Happ cruises to his best start so far this year.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Josh Bell: C-1B, PIT vs ATL ($4,400) (Early)

If you're going to pay up for a hitter on this slate, make it Josh Bell. He faces Mike Foltynewicz today, who has allowed 13 home runs in 38 1/3 innings so far this season. Bell has hit 13 homers against right-handed pitching, boasting a .455 wOBA and .372 ISO. Bell has missed one game all season, so he is a lock to be in the cleanup spot, and he has been the most consistent power-hitter for the Pirates. When facing a pitcher who is struggling with the long ball like Foltynewicz, you want someone likely to hit some home runs, and Bell is my best bet to do that today.

Cheslor Cuthbert: 3B, KC vs BOS ($2,500) (Early)

Rick Porcello is having a terrible season by his standards, but he has especially struggled on the road. He comes into this game with a 1.61 WHIP and 6.37 ERA on the road. Cuthbert has been locked in since making his season debut, hitting two home runs and recording a .375 AVG in four games. He is already solidifying a spot in the middle of the lineup, and I expect him to stay there if he can continue this pace.

Gary Sanchez: C-1B, NYY at TOR ($4,500) (Main)

This game could get ugly at the Rogers Centre with Edwin Jackson taking the mound against the Yankees. There's a whole lot of power in the Yankees lineup, and everyone is in play against Jackson. I could easily put every one of my main slate players as Yankees, but I will take the opportunity here to say I will be stacking this lineup as much as possible. Sanchez has 16 of his 19 home runs against right-handed pitching, and I would be willing to bet he adds one or two to that total tonight. The Yankees lost the first two games of this series against a far inferior team in the Blue Jays, and they will be taking all their anger out on Jackson in this matchup.

Tommy La Stella: 3B, LAA vs OAK ($3,200) (Main)

La Stella has been a pleasant surprise for the Angels this season, taking a stranglehold on their leadoff position. The good news is that Fanduel still hasn't adjusted to his numbers, and we can get a reduced price on a player who is boasting a .405 wOBA and .255 ISO against right-handed pitching this season. Mike Fiers has struggled in his career against the Angels, going 4-4 with a 5.25 ERA in 11 career appearances.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Nick Markakis: OF, ATL at PIT ($3,400) (Early)

Chris Archer has not looked like the ace that the Pirates hoped he would be, but he looked his best so far this season in his last outing. Archer was pitching so bad that it would take more than one good game for me to stop attacking him in DFS. Honestly, I feel that you can't go wrong with any of the top Braves batters today, but I will choose Markakis here to give some salary relief for those of you who also take Bell and Wheeler. Markakis has hit all four of his home runs against right-handed pitching this season and boasts a .301/.388/.466 slash line and .413 wOBA

Jesse Winker: OF, CIN at STL ($2,500) (Early)

Miles Mikolas has been playing with fire over his past couple of starts, pitching himself out of plenty of jams where games could have been blown open. This trend can't continue forever, and it's only a matter of time before Mikolas and his already high 4.41 ERA finds that number getting even higher. Winker is a very nice value play here as he figures to hit in the cleanup spot while having a .358 wOBA and ten home runs against right-handed pitching. I'm hoping Winker will get plenty of opportunities with runners in scoring position at the cleanup spot, and finally, break a game wide open when Mikolas gets himself into a jam.

Danny Santana: OF, TEX vs BAL ($3,000) (Main)

Don't let his record fool you, Andrew Cashner has struggled once again this season, and it won't get any easier heading into Globe Life Park. Cashner has posted a 5.04 ERA despite a 6-2 record, with the Orioles giving him at least six runs of support in 8 of 12 games this season. Santana has found himself getting time at the top of the lineup while Gallo is on the IL, but will need to improve his production to stay there. He has a .379 wOBA vs right-handed pitching this season, so he should be contributing a lot more than he is right now, and this feels like a matchup that could be his breakout.

Wil Myers: OF, SD vs WSH ($2,600) (Main)

The Padres have been a thorn in the side of Patrick Corbin, from his days in the NL West, he has a 6-7 record with a 4.24 ERA against them in his career. One of his main enemies is Myers, who has gone 10-27 against him in his career with one home run and four doubles.
