FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (4/23/19): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Dennis Clausen highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 4/23/19, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

The Playoffs continue on Tuesday with three teams (Magic, Nets, Thunder) all looking to avoid being eliminated. In regards to Vegas, Brooklyn/Philadelphia leads the slate by far with a projected combined score of 230 points, followed by OKC/Portland (218.5), San Antonio/Denver (212), and Orlando/Toronto (205).

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 4/23/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks as well as NBA starting lineups.

Also, feel free to give me a follow on Twitter @Den_Clausen.  Good luck.

FanDuel DFS Guards

D'Angelo Russell - SG, @ PHI ($8,500)

Russell is sporting a 34.1 usage percentage so far this postseason, good for fourth in the league for players who are logging at least 20 minutes per contest. He has hit at least 34.6 fantasy points in three of his last four games, and is averaging 21.8 shot attempts in the series thus far. He will continue to see heavy minutes and will continue to be the focal point of the Brooklyn offense for as long as the Nets are in the playoffs.

Jimmy Butler - SG, vs. BKN ($7,600)

After putting up 56.9 fantasy points in Game 1 against the Nets, Butler cooled off in his team’s last three games, averaging a subpar 28.6 fantasy points per game during that span. His price has taken a tumble as a result of his lack of production, but it would be safe to assume that he would have had more efficient numbers in Game 4 had it not been for his scuffle with Jared Dudley, which ultimately caused his premature exit from the contest. Let’s take advantage of his discounted price on Tuesday night.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Pascal Siakam - PF, vs. ORL ($8,600)

Siakam is averaging 22.3 points and nine rebounds in this series thus far. He is also averaging 39.3 minutes and is arguably the number two option offensively for the Raptors. As long as Game 5 is competitive, the 25-year-old should remain on the floor and ready to produce on Tuesday night.

Rudy Gay - SF, @ DEN ($5,200)

Out of all of the lower-priced small forwards available, Gay has been the most consistent to some degree. Though he only produced 11.2 fantasy points in Game 4 of this series, he averaged 22.3 during his previous three contests. We’d like to get every big name in the book in our lineup, but we know that isn’t possible and as a result, look to get a little something from the veteran on Tuesday night.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Joel Embiid - C, vs. BKN ($11,300)

Out of all of the high-priced options available on Tuesday night, Embiid should be your first choice for good reason. Though he has been dealing with a knee ailment, his play during this series would indicate that it really isn’t an issue outside of missing Game 3. He was a monster on Saturday against Brooklyn, finishing things up by going 12-22 from the field in addition to 16 boards, seven assists, and six blocks for a total of 79.7 fantasy points. He is on the injury report ahead of Game 5, but should be good to go against a weak Nets’ interior defense. Get him in your lineup.
