Jeremy Jeffress A Couple Weeks Away
Jeremy Jeffress (shoulder) is pitching every three days and will do so again on Saturday. General manager David Stearns said that Jeffress is a couple of weeks away from a return. Even though Jeffress is starting the season on the injured list, he just got a little more intriguing for those speculating on saves after it was announced on Friday that Corey Knebel (elbow) will undergo season-ending Tommy John surgery. Josh Hader, who had a save on Opening Day, is the favorite for saves right now, but Jeffress could put his name into the ring once he returns. Those already in need of saves should stash Jeffress now if you have the room.
