In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/14/18 The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers
David Price, BOS (vs. HOU): $7,100
It’s not easy to be contrarian on a two-game slate, but Price gives us the best opportunity to separate from the pack. Don’t let a poor first outing and narrative about postseason performance distract you from Price’s 3.82 SIERA and 3.54 K/BB ratio during the regular season. This is mostly a strategical play, but Price still has a long track record of solid pitching.
Jhoulys Chacin, MIL (@ LAD): $6,000
Chacin has been nothing but solid for Milwaukee and was especially dominant in the second-half. After the All-Star break Chacin had a 3.24 ERA and 2.83 K/BB ratio. He has given us 16.35 points per game in his two starts since the game 163
DraftKings DFS Infielders
C - Sandy Leon, BOS (vs. HOU): $2,500
Catcher is a position to punt on this slate, and luckily both Boston and Milwaukee are full of options. If Leon doesn’t play then Christian Vazquez ($2,800) or Erik Kratz ($3,100) would be fine plays.
1B - Jesus Aguilar, MIL (@ LAD): $4,800
Jesus Aguilar was known as a lefty-masher prior to this year, but he was just as good against right-handed pitching this season. He hit 26 of his 35 home runs and had a .263 ISO versus righties during the regular season. Aguilar also hits fifth for Milwaukee, giving him plenty of run-scoring opportunities.
2B – Travis Shaw, MIL (@ LAD): $4,400
Shaw hits directly in front of Aguilar against righties and destroyed right-handed pitching during the regular season. He hit 30 of his 32 homers and a .285 ISO versus righties this season.
3B – Mike Moustakas, MIL (@ LAD): $4,000
We want to load up on Milwaukee bats against Walker Buehler in this one. Buehler is a talented pitcher, but from a strategy perspective we don’t want to use hitters against our own pitchers. That is okay in cash games, but in a GPP that only cannibalizes our overall score. Moustakas fared well against righties during the regular season as well, hitting 22 of his 28 homers along with a .230 ISO.
SS – Xander Bogaerts, BOS (vs. HOU): $4,600
Gerrit Cole ($9,000) is most likely going to be the chalk in this one. He is the top pitcher on the slate and his price isn’t too much higher than Walker Buehler ($8,200). While Cole is a good pitcher, let’s not forget that Boston was the top offense against righties during the regular season. They had a .349 wOBA and 116 wRC+ collectively against right-handed pitching during the regular season. Bogaerts had an under-the-radar breakout season this year, posting a .901 OPS and .259 ISO versus righties in the regular season.
DraftKings DFS Outfielders
Mookie Betts, BOS (vs. HOU): $5,700
Andrew Benintendi, BOS (vs. HOU): $5,000
Based on matchups we could potentially an MVP caliber outfielder for relatively low-ownership. If Cole is chalk then owners won’t want to pay for Betts nor will they want to use him against their pitcher. Betts hits leadoff for Boston and had a 1.037 OPS and .271 ISO against right-handed pitching in the regular season. Benintendi will hit right behind Betts and had an .877 OPS and .184 ISO versus righties on the year.
Christian Yelich, MIL (@ LAD): $5,800
The possibility of getting Yelich and Betts in the same lineup is insane, but it’s certainly possibly if we take risks elsewhere. Yelich obliterated right-handed pitching during the regular season to the tune of a 1.007 OPS and .281 ISO.
