DraftKings Daily Fantasy Football Lineup Picks (Week 16): NFL DFS Advice

RotoBallers, welcome to Week 16 of the daily fantasy football season. In this column, you will find my recommended DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks to target for Week 16 of the NFL season.

The goal is to identify players to start on DraftKings this week based on various factors including the opponent, the player's opportunity, analysis of the game's matchups, and the DraftKings price.

Let's find some DFS lineup sleepers, and win on DraftKings. Good luck in Week 16!

DraftKings Quarterbacks - Week 16 DFS Picks

Matthew Stafford - DET @ CIN (DK - $6,200)

Stafford is looking like one of the better options at quarterback this week for a number of reasons. First off, the Lions still have something to play for, so he will be doing all he can to get the win. We know he has multi touchdown upside, as he has done nine times this season. Stafford has put up 17 or more DraftKings points in seven of his last nine games, and has shown to be super consistent. He makes a great play in any format this week, as he is up against the Bengals who have the 18th DVOA against the pass.

Cam Newton - CAR vs TB (DK - $6,800)

Newton has scored 15 or more DraftKings points in six straight games, and is up against one of the worst defenses in the league. He is playing the Buccaneers, who have the 29th DVOA against the pass, and the 21st DVOA against the run. This is a prime spot for him, and he has shown his rushing upside in recent weeks. He has 50 or more rushing yards in five of his last six games, bringing plenty of tournament upside with him.

DraftKings Running Backs - Week 16 DFS Picks

Kenyan Drake - MIA @ KC (DK - $7,100)

Drake is up against the Chiefs, who have the 31st DVOA against the run, putting him in a great spot this week. Over the past four week, Drake has 80% of the Dolphins rushing attempts, which means he is their lead back and will be in the game regardless of the situation. The game script isn't saying they will be in this game, as they are a 10 point underdog, but if they want a shot in this game, they will run the ball a lot and slow the game down, putting Drake in a spot to succeed.

Christian McCaffrey - CAR vs TB (DK - $6,400)

McCaffrey brings a dual threat out of the backfield, as he has seen 22 targets over his last four games. He isn't a pure running back and has only gone for a season high of 66 yards this season, but saw double digit rushing attempts last week for the first time since Week 9. This is an encouraging sign, which should benefit him this week, since his opponent has a very bad defense. He is up against the Buccaneers, who have the 21st DOVA against the pass, and the 23rd DVOA against running backs in the passing game. Prime match up for him, and the Panthers are still in a spot where they need to win games, so they won't easy off the gas.

DraftKings Wide Receivers - Week 16 DFS Picks

Robert Woods - LAR @ TEN (DK - $6,500)

Woods is back from his injury, and last week he put six receptions 45 yards, and one touchdown. He is good mid range option who has some PPR upside against a Titans team who has the 24th DVOA against the pass. This puts him in a good spot, since the Rams still have something to play for, and will not be resting their starters. Woods has multi touchdown upside, which he has shown in the games before his injury.

Chris Godwin - TB @ CAR (DK - $3,000)

With DeSean Jackson being out of practice yet again on Thursday, Godwin is in a spot to see increased targets, as he did last week, after Jackson left the game early with the injury. Last week he ended with five receptions for 68 yards, for a total of 11.8 DraftKings points. He is also super cheap on DraftKings, so the savings he brings to your lineup will allow you to get up to the higher priced players.

DraftKings Tight End - Week 16 DFS Pick

Eric Ebron - DET @ CIN (DK - $3,700)

Everyone and their mother is talking about Antonio Gates this week as a tight end option, since he is so cheap, and will be seeing more targets now that Hunter Henry is done for the year. If you want another option at tight end, look at Ebron. he is up against the Bengals who have the 30th DVOA vs tight ends, and have suffered major losses on their defense. He has 15 receptions over his last two games, and with the Lions needing to win games to stay in the playoff picture, he will see plenty of snaps.

DraftKings Defense - Week 16 DFS Pick

Detroit Lions @ Cincinnati Bengals

The Lions are in a spot where they need to win games to try and make the playoffs, so look to their defense to step up against a weak Bengals team. Last week against the Vikings we saw that the Bengals have all but given up on the season, making them a nice target this week. The Lions have seven sacks over their last four games, along with five interceptions in that span. They have turnover potential against this weak Bengals offense.
