DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (6/11/16): MLB DFS Advice

Saturday means that you won't have to wait all day for some great baseball action. With eight games starting during the  early afternoon slate, DraftKings has several contests to participate in. You'll be able to do all day, early afternoon, a turbo in the late afternoon, or just look at the evening games.

No matter what you decided, you'll have to mix up your selection of studs and sleepers in order to fit under the $50,000 salary cap set by DraftKings.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for DraftKings on 6/11/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

Boston Red Sox vs. Kyle Gibson (RHP)

The Red Sox are the best offensive team in baseball, making them a popular lineup stack on most nights. Today they will go against Kyle Gibson, who's making his first start since April 22 after missing time with a shoulder injury. Gibson was shelled for seven runs against the Nationals in that start. Boston doesn't feature many left-handed bats, though Daivd Ortiz and Jackie Bradley Jr. stand out as good plays today. Xander Bogaerts, Mookie Betts, and Dustin Pedroia will also make for fine plays.

San Francisco Giants vs. Scott Kazmir (LHP)

The Giants have cooled down from the beginning of the season, but they are still worth a look as a lineup stack today. San Francisco faced Kazmir at home back on April 10 and lit him up for seven hits and six runs in just four innings. Brandon Belt, Buster Posey, Angel Pagan, and Denard Span all had big days. In total, the Giants have put up 10 runs in two games versus Kazmir this season. There's no Pagan today, but the other Giants make for a good stacking option.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Colby Lewis, TEX at SEA - $7,000

If you're looking for a good pitching option for tournament play, take a long look at Colby Lewis. The matchup at Seattle will likely scare many fantasy players away, but the numbers don't lie. Lewis has been great this season, racking up a 5-0 record with a 3.20 ERA. He pitched in Seattle on April 11 and walked away with a victory after striking out six and allowing one run on four hits in six innings of work.

Jake Arrieta, CHC at ATL - $13,500

Arrieta took a loss his last time on the mound, but he remains one of the best starting pitching options in the league. He'll look to bounce back today against a Braves team sits at the bottom of nearly every offensive category. Arrieta should be a near lock to get at least 10 strike outs, and a win is certainly in the cards as well. Of course you'll have to pay for him, but you can't' argue with the production you'll get.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C)

Jason Castro, HOU at TB - $2,900

Castro is available for dirt cheap on DraftKings, yet he's actually been a sneaky source of fantasy points lately. With a home run Friday night, he has now reached double-digit fantasy points in four of his last six games. Play the hot hand right now, it won't cost you watch to take a chance.

First Base (1B)

Brandon Belt, SF vs. LAD - $3,700

Belt is having his best season so far in terms of batting average, and he is on pace to surpass his career-high 18 home runs hit last year. He gets a favorable matchup against Scott Kazmir today, someone he has hit very well against in his career (.500 average, 3 home runs). Despite the solid season he's having, Belt still tends to get overlooked for daily lineups, making him a good option on most days.

Second Base (2B)

Logan Forsythe, TB vs. HOU - $3,500

With an average of nearly nine fantasy points a game and a price tag of just $3,500, Logan Forsythe fits the mold of a fantastic value pick. He had an RBI double last night and put up at least 10 fantasy points for the third time in five games. Consider him a strong tournament play at second base.

Shortstop (SS)

Manny Machado, BAL at TOR - $4,000

The beauty of using Manny Machado is the fact that you can slot him in at either third base or shortstop on DraftKings. He's started to cool down a bit from his hot start, but he's still hitting over .300 and is one of the best producers of fantasy points this season. He hasn't been very good against today's starter, J.A. Happ, but that should only help to keep some people from drafting him. As a note, he has been issued a four-game suspension for charging the mound Tuesday, but he has yet to serve the punishment.

Third Base (3B)

Ryan Flaherty, BAL at TOR - $2,100

If you're looking to really save some cap space for your tournament lineup, then Baltimore's Ryan Flaherty is one to target. His season average is sitting at just over .200, and when glancing at his stats, nothing stands out as someone who should be trusted in fantasy baseball. However, he's picked up double-digit fantasy points twice this past week, and his average of nearly four fantasy points a game is not bad at all considering his price tag. He's had just 10 at-bats against lefties this season, but has an .429 average off of southpaws. Flaherty is certainly not worth a look in cash games, but should be considered if you're looking to go off the radar in tournament play.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Jay Bruce, CIN vs.OAK - $4,900

Bruce is in a great spot today with a home matchup against Oakland's Daniel Mengden, who is making his first career start at the major league level. The right-hander has blown away the competition in the minors, but the majors is a whole different ballgame. There's obviously an unknown with Mengden, but Bruce has 10 homers off of right-handed pitching this season and is a big bat in the middle of the lineup for the Reds. It's not uncommon for a pitcher to struggle in his first start, so jump on Bruce as one of your outfielders today.

Matt Kemp, SD at COL - $4,400

Kemp has had success against Tyler Chatwood in the past, making him worth a look for daily lineups. He's got a .357 average and one home run in 15 at-bats against the righty. Aside from the good history, Kemp gets the luxury of playing at Coors Field this weekend, and it's no secret that anyone playing at Coors generally gets a bump in fantasy baseball.

Chris Young, BOS vs. MIN - $3,600

Young has suddenly become the regular starter in left field for the Red Sox and he's done a great job so far. Hitting over .300 for the season, he's also averaging nearly six fantasy points a game. He's been particularly good over the last two weeks, racking up 37 fatnasy points on June 1  and twice getting 17 on June 5 and June 8. His salary has risen as a result of his play, but he's still cheap enough to provide great outfield value.
