FanDuel DFS – MLB Lineup Picks, Sleepers and Advice for 6/30/15

Offenses to Target for FanDuel Stacking

There are a lot of different viable stacking options tonight. In considering the options below, I weighed Vegas predictions pretty heavily.

Blue Jays RHB versus Eduardo Rodriguez

Rodriguez might be something special in the future but tonight the Blue Jays veteran sluggers should pick on him pretty easily. The difficult thing about selecting Blue Jays - even when reduced to just their RHB - is that you always end up leaving someone off your roster with FanDuel's rule of only four players from a team maximum. But rules are rules, and if I have to go with four, it's: Kevin Pillar, Jose Bautista, Edwin Encarnacion and Josh Donaldson.

Dodgers LHB versus Rubby De La Rosa

De La Rosa gets his fair share of strikeouts, but he's pretty prone to giving up runs in bunches, too. Expect the Dodgers to do some damage tonight in a home run-friendly park. The Dodgers lefty bats are the ones I'm going after, but Puig helps stabilize this lineup, and he's a fine option for your fourth guy, too. I'm targeting Adrian Gonzalez, Joc Pederson and Andre Ethier. Whether I go with Grandal or Puig will depend on their position in the batting order.

Honorable Mention: Red Sox LHB

 

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel Cash Games

Chris Sale (SP, CHW) - $11,300

The numbers Sale has put up this season are nothing short of remarkable. The Cardinals rake 24th overall in composite offensive rankings against LHP's this season and they strike out in 24% of those at-bats. In other words, Sale should do just fine.

Lance Lynn (SP, STL) - $9,100

He's not as big a factor in influencing the 6.5 run total for this game as Sale is, but Lynn is pretty special at home for his career, and he's facing a weak offense in the White Sox. The Sox have posted just a .296 wOBA against RHP this season. The only real downside here is run support will be tough to come by with his teammates seeing Sale.

Honorable Mention: Danny Salazar (SP, CLE) -$8,900

 

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel Tournaments

My tournament plays listed below all have a solid chance for five or more strikeouts, face bottom 10 offenses, and have game run totals of seven or less in Vegas. They all possess high ceilings and should be fairly low owned.

Ian Kennedy (SP, SD) - $7,400

Taylor Jungmann (SP, MIL) - $5,700

Mike Montgomery (SP, SEA) - $7,100

 

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

As always, I'll try to give you a few guys that I project to be some of the highest point accumulators and a few guys that I think have an opportunity to return a lot of value due to their low price/high ceiling combination.

Yasmani Grandal (C, LAD) - $2,700

I can't seem to quit Grandal right now, and he's giving me no reason not to play him. He faces a subpar starter tonight in a hitter friendly ballpark, and Mattingly keeps slotting him in a really favorable position in the lineup (5th or 6th).

Matt Wieters (C, BAL) - $3,300

Wieters should be well-rested and ready to rake after getting a night off Monday.

Chris Davis - (1B, BAL) - $3,400

At home, in the middle of the order and against Colby Lewis is a solid recipe for Crush. He owns a .445 slugging percentage against right-handed pitchers this season.

Ryan Howard (1B, PHI) - $2,600

Howard has been struggling lately (.200 batting average last two weeks), but he makes for a nice tournament option if you're light on cash. He's .530 career slugger against RHP, including .505 this season.

Brian Dozier (2B, MIN) - $3,900

Dozier is once again playing in a super home run-friendly park (he homered again last night) and faces Anthony DeSclafani. DeSclafani has been solid, but his home/road splits have quite the gap. He's got a 4.50 ERA at home while allowing a .457 slugging and .355 wOBA.

Robinson Cano (2B, SEA) - $2,500

Sure this year hasn't been kind to him, but Cano is a nice cheap option considering the fact he's a .519 career slugger against righties.

Kris Bryant (3B, CHC) - $3,500

Bryant owns a .465 wOBA against southpaws this season. That's pretty good! A handful of third baseman are priced higher than he is, and as such, I think he can return the most value at a reasonable $3,500 price tag.

Alex Rodriguez (3B, NYY) - $3,900

A nice candidate to pick on a young lefty and go deep tonight.

Jimmy Rollins (SS, LAD) - $2,200

Could make for the cheapest piece of a Dodgers stack this evening.

Xander Bogaerts (SS, BOS) - $2,700

If Bogaerts is really going to stick in the three or four slot in the order, I'm going to keep playing him at a sub-$3,000 price tag. He's hitting .314 over the past two weeks.

 

DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel

Kevin Pillar (OF, TOR) - $3,000

Pillar has a nice matchup, he's at home in a hitter-friendly park, and is slugging .600 over the past two weeks.

David Peralta (OF, ARI) - $3,600

Great lineup value when he's hitting second in the order, and he should be against the righty Frias. He's a .494 career slugger against righties.

Jose Bautista (OF, TOR) - $4,900

Poor Eduardo Rodriguez. Joey Bats smashes lefties.

Gregory Polanco (OF, PIT) - $2,200

A decent option if you've got the bare minimum to spend. He's been struggling, but he's often slotted in the top of the lineup against righties to go with a .120 ISO power mark this season.

Andre Ethier (OF, LAD) - $2,200

Ethier has a lot of things going for him tonight, which makes this price tag pretty incredible. Park factors, weak opposing starter, great splits against RHP, and a great position in the order.

Michael Cuddyer (OF, NYM) - $2,200

Cuddyer has been struggling, but he's a nice punt option facing a pitcher in Hendricks that doesn't throw real hard and doesn't make too many guys miss. For his career, he's a .445 slugger against right-handed pitching.

Torii Hunter (OF, MIN) -$3,100

He's playing in a great hitter's park in Cincinnati tonight, and he's on a tear recently, too. Hunter is slugging .568 with three home runs over the past two weeks.
