Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 2:
Davante Adams, Los Angeles Rams
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams caught three of his six targets for 26 receiving yards during Thursday's Week 1 loss against the San Francisco 49ers in Australia. The Rams' pass-catchers had a really frustrating outing in the season opener, and Adams was no exception. His 5.6 PPR points represent a massive decline from his average of 15.9 PPR points per game last season.
Fantasy managers will hope that this game from Adams was an anomaly and can simply be chalked up to the nature of playing a game in Australia after arriving less than 24 hours earlier. Adams and his teammates will have plenty of time to return home and reacclimate to the conditions in the United States before returning to action in 11 days for a Week 2 contest against the New York Giants.
He still ranks as a low-end fantasy WR2 for that game, but his floor is admittedly lower than before.
Parker Washington, Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington continues to make an incredibly positive impact in fantasy football leagues. After ascending to the WR27 mark last year despite competition from Brian Thomas Jr., Travis Hunter, and Jakobi Meyers, Washington came into 2026 looking to separate himself from this crowded receiver room.
We already saw flashes of his ceiling last year, when he caught 19 passes for 347 yards and two touchdowns over the final three weeks of the season. Fast forward to Week 1 of the 2026 season and he picked up right where he left off, catching five passes for 83 yards and one touchdown. Admittedly, he had a softer matchup against the Browns, but he was still the Jags' most productive receiver in the win.
His ability to shake off defenders, make big plays, and win contested scenarios bodes well for him to sustain fantasy value long-term. He's a WR2 entering Week 2 against the Broncos, even if he ends up facing cornerback Patrick Surtain II for a large portion of the game.
Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Mike Evans caught six passes for 49 yards and a touchdown in his first game with his new team, and with second-round rookie De'Zhaun Stribling (ankle) now slated to miss at least the next four games after being placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury, the veteran should be viewed as a borderline WR1 moving forward.
Over his 12 seasons with the Buccaneers, Evans dominated out of two-receiver sets, and the 49ers operated out of 21-personnel on a league-leading 42.2% of their plays in Week 1.
Now competing with Deebo Samuel Sr. and Demarcus Robinson for wide receiver targets, Evans has a chance to feast as All-Pro tight end George Kittle continues to work toward a full workload, and he is RotoBaller's WR13 ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Dolphins.
Stefon Diggs, Washington Commanders
Veteran wide receiver Stefon Diggs saw a team-leading nine targets, which he turned into four catches for 55 yards and a touchdown, in his Washington Commanders debut, and in Week 2, he faces a Cowboys defense that was practically unable to get off the field in the second half of Sunday night's loss to the Giants.
Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was not particularly sharp in his first game running David Blough's offense, but Washington operated out of 11-personnel at the league's fifth-highest rate in Week 1, which is an encouraging sign for Diggs, who has seen his slot usage rise in each of the past four seasons.
The Cowboys were one of the top defenses to target for fantasy in 2025, and despite an aggressive offseason overhaul, the results were not promising in the season opener, presenting a potentially favorable matchup for Diggs, who comes into the Week as RotoBaller's WR30.
Deebo Samuel Sr., San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. should be a priority waiver wire target now that he's firmly solidified as the team's No. 2 wideout. Second-round rookie De'Zhaun Stribling suffered an ankle injury in Week 1 and will now be sidelined for a month, leaving Samuel as an undisputed starter alongside Mike Evans.
We saw the veteran produce after Stribling went down last week, finishing the season opener with six catches for 48 receiving yards and a touchdown. Samuel has never been a huge yardage threat, but he handles high volume well and is capable of scoring touchdowns. With Stribling out until mid-October, Samuel has an amazing opportunity to handle more volume and cement himself as a high-end WR3 in fantasy football.
His pattern of fantasy success should continue in Week 2, when the Niners face off against a pitiful Dolphins squad.
