UNLV Coach Dan Mullen Says That Both QBs Will Play vs. Memphis
UNLV head coach Dan Mullen said that both Auburn transfer quarterback Jackson Arnold and 2025 Michigan transfer Alex Orji will play in UNLV's game against Memphis on Saturday. Arnold threw for 1,309 yards and six touchdowns with Auburn in 2025. Orji backed up 2025 starter Anthony Colandrea, who transferred to Nebraska in the offseason. Orji threw only three passes in 2025 but completed them all. He also ran 10 times for 42 yards and a touchdown in limited action. Mullen did not specify which quarterback would start the game. This is not an ideal outcome for fantasy and DFS players in what will be an important early-season game for Group of 6 schools. Both received votes in the preseason AP Top 25 Poll.
