Rhamondre Stevenson 2026 Fantasy Football Outlook: Looking to Carve Out a Role in Pats Split Backfield
New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson was solid for fantasy managers in a split backfield last season. He rushed for 603 yards on 130 attempts while catching 32 passes for 345 yards and two touchdowns in 14 games. The 28-year-old averaged 4.6 yards per carry and gained positive yardage 77.7% of the time. The Patriots leaned more on Stevenson over TreVeyon Henderson in the playoffs, as he had 17.8 touches compared to Henderson's 8.8. New England's offense should be explosive again heading into 2026 as the Patriots added wide receivers A.J. Brown and Romeo Doubs this offseason. Stevenson will need to hold onto the ball if he plans to fend off Henderson for touches, as Rhambo has fumbled the ball 10 times over his last 20 games. The good news is he didn't fumble from Week 5 on last year after dropping the ball three times in the team's first five weeks. With the split backfield, Stevenson is more of a high-end FLEX play each week and is currently RB28 in the latest RotoBaller rankings. The touches in the playoffs suggest Stevenson should have a small edge over more elusive Henderson, but that quickly changes if he starts fumbling again. Rhambo is projected for 1,079 total yards and nine touchdowns, making him a decent pick at his current 75 ADP at Sleeper.
