Brice Turang 2026 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Can he Come Close to 2025 Breakout Season?
Even the biggest Brice Turang supporter couldn't have predicted the breakout we saw in 2025. After combining for 13 home runs in 292 games over his first two seasons, Turang swatted 18 home runs in 2025 with 81 RBI, 97 runs scored, 24 steals, and a .288/.359/.435 slash line. Every number in that previous sentence represented a new career-high for Turang outside of the stolen bases. A ridiculous 10 of those home runs came in August, with two or one home run in every other month last season. Due to this random spike, it's fair to question if the overall power output was fluky. While it's risky to expect 18 homers again, Turang's quality of contact metrics increased drastically across the board. After having a 2.4% barrel rate, 87.0 mph AVG EV, and 29.7% hard-hit rate, Turang increased those to a 7.9% barrel rate, 91.1 mph AVG EV, and 47.4% hard-hit rate last season. The power surge came at the expense of some contact, but Turang still had above-average contact rates. Even with fewer home runs, Turang is still a Top-100 overall player and Top-5 option at a weak second base position.
