Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 18:
Kyle Pitts Sr., TE, Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons have been eliminated from playoff contention, but they could indirectly determine the NFC South champion with a win, adding a level of motivation in a week when it can often be difficult to find. Fantasy managers still competing in Week 18 should feel comfortable starting Pitts against a Saints defense that has been middle-of-the-road at defending tight ends.
Dalton Schultz, TE, Houston Texans
Schultz has a team-high 78 catches on the season for 704 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He had three catches for 19 yards in the team's win over the Chargers, giving him at least three catches in 14 of his 16 games this season. Two of his touchdowns have come in the last three weeks as well, making him a strong option to play at tight end if you need a solution at the position for the season finale.
George Kittle, TE, San Francisco 49ers
Fantasy managers will want to check back on the 32-year-old's status on Saturday, but if he's active, as expected, he needs to be locked into all starting lineups. Kittle has found the end zone seven times in 10 games played in 20225, and in the first meeting against the Seahawks on Sept. 7, he had four catches for 25 yards and his first touchdown of the year.
Dawson Knox, TE, Buffalo Bills
Knox hauled in all five of his targets for 30 yards with Kincaid on the sideline last week in the loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Fantasy managers should expect a similar target share for Knox this weekend, assuming Kincaid is unable to go. His value might actually increase given how bad the Jets' defense has been this season. Knox remains in the TE2 conversation for this Week 18 contest.
Tyler Higbee, TE, Los Angeles Rams
It's unclear how much Higbee will actually play, as the Rams might be trying to save him for the postseason. The 33-year-old might see limited reps to shake off some of the rust before the playoffs begin if he's active. If Higbee returns, it'll impact the playing time of Colby Parkinson, Terrance Ferguson, and Davis Allen for Sunday's game. Even if Higbee is active, fantasy managers should be looking to avoid him.
