DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily College Fantasy Football Saturday Slate (12/27/25)

Haynes King - College Football Rankings, CFB DFS Picks, NFL Draft

Mike Marteny's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the Saturday (12/27/25) slate. His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

DFS has been even more of a slippery slope this year, with it becoming even more trendy to quit before "meaningless" bowl games. Where else can you win a trophy full of piping hot baked beans or soak your coach with iced coffee? Those are just two of the things that you don't see every day that we have already seen this bowl season.

Saturday gives us the last big DFS slate of the season. We have seven games going on today, and so far, not a ton of opt-outs outside of teams that changed coaches. For the ones that didn't have a coaching change, the opt-outs are quarterbacks, so that gives us a chance to use a cheap QB to break the slate. That can be fun, right?

In this article, I will provide you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the DraftKings slate on 12/27/25, starting at noon Eastern. I’ll give multiple player suggestions for quarterbacks, running backs, and wide receivers, highlighting one option at each end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers!

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Haynes King, Georgia Tech ($9K)

Leaving Texas A&M was the best thing Haynes King ever did. King not only landed on his feet at another Power 4 program, but he also found a coaching staff that put him in a position to succeed.

In the age of opt-outs, King was adamant about playing in this game, and he will also play in the Shrine Bowl because he knows that he may not get a fair shot at the next level. Be honest...how much have you heard from national media about King this year, despite his monster season?

Georgia dominated King in the last game of the season for the Wreck. The good news is that he will have more chances against BYU. Not that BYU is a bad team -- I've been on the BYU train for much of the season -- but this is King's last hurrah, and the coaches have had a month to prepare for this.

King's ceiling is somewhere in the 50s. We may not see that, but I could see King breaking 40 as the focal point of this offense.

Nick Evers, Connecticut ($6.6K)

I'm a little surprised that Joe Fagnano is opting out of this game. It would be his last game for UConn. Now the quarterback situation is a little in flux. Evers is expected to transfer, but senior WR Skyler Bell has opted into the game and has apparently talked some teammates into the same.

I've seen reports that Evers will play. If he doesn't, it's expected that freshman Ksaan Farrar will take the reins. Either way, both are underpriced in this offense. I prefer the experience of Evers, but Farrar is more than a decent dart throw.

Drew Mestemaker, North Texas ($4.5K)

It appears that DraftKings jumped the shark on this one. Why would a guy be going through bowl prep if he wasn't planning on playing? North Texas wants him to lead the team to a bowl victory, and it appears that Mestemaker is all about playing one more game for the team that gave him a chance that will make him rich.

DK dropping his price to the minimum is a bit ridiculous if he plays. UNT beat writers are all saying that Mestemaker is playing in this game. He's a no-brainer at this price.

Also consider these QBs

  • Bear Bachmeier, BYU ($8.7K)
  • Conner Weigman, Houston ($8.5K)
  • Michael Van Buren Jr., LSU ($7.5K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Ahmad Hardy, Missouri ($6.9K)

Hardy is only a true sophomore and isn't transferring out, so he will play in this game. Starting QB Beau Pribula is back in the portal, and the team struggled with Matt Zollers at QB in the regular season.

The extra reps will do him some good, but Missouri is going to pound it out on the ground as they did when Pribula missed time in the regular season. With Caleb Hawkins uncertain and Kaytron Allen expected to play but with a limited workload, Hardy is the clear top option.

Cam Edwards, Connecticut ($6.2K)

Remember the bit about Bell talking to guys in the portal and trying to get them to play one more game with him? It worked with Edwards. Edwards is already in the portal, but will play in this game.

Edwards played four years for Connecticut, but waited until the coach left to chase the money. It's not that surprising that he's one of the ones coming back. Edwards closed the season with huge games against FAU and Air Force. If he gets anywhere close to a normal workload, he could nuke the slate for this price.

Sione Moa, BYU ($4.1K)

LJ Martin is out for this game thanks to shoulder surgery, so Moa is expected to start. Moa didn't carry the ball more than seven times in any game this year. We could see a committee approach for BYU, but Moa should get the first chance and the most chances.

Also consider these RBs

  • J'Mari Taylor, Virginia ($8.3K)
  • Adam Randall, Clemson ($6.1K)
  • Lucky Sutton, San Diego State ($5.7K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Skyler Bell, Connecticut ($7.9K)

Bell turned in some monster games for UConn this year (and last year). He'll go down as the most decorated WR in UConn history, and will be forever revered in UConn lore for playing one more game, when he will likely go on to the NFL.

I expect a big game out of Bell, no matter who he convinces to play at quarterback. He's simply too good to go out quietly.

Amare Thomas, Houston ($6.3K)

Mansoor Delane, who would have been the guy charged with covering Thomas, is sitting out to prep for the NFL Draft. It should be open season for Weigman and Thomas, with LSU expected to miss three defensive starters for draft purposes.

Cameron Dorner, North Texas ($4.8K)

Wyatt Young disappeared in the American Championship Game and is expected to enter the portal. Consider that Mestemaker is playing, Young may as well. Instead of messing with that drama, I'm just using Dorner.

Dorner has 10 receptions for 201 yards and a touchdown in the last two games alone. He was becoming a favorite target of Mestemaker anyway.

Cam Ross, Virginia ($4.6K)

Trell Harris may miss this game, but Ross has been my go-to Virginia guy for a couple of weeks anyway. He did have a couple of clunkers in that span, but the upside at this price is the mid-teens. It could be higher if Harris is out.

Also consider these WRs:

  • Wyatt Young, North Texas ($7.1K)
  • Parker Kingston, BYU ($6.2K)
  • Tanner Koziol, Houston ($5K)
  • Trebor Pena, Penn State ($4.4K)

DraftKings CFB Stacks

BYU vs. Georgia Tech

The Cougars have something to prove again. Look what they did to Colorado last year when they thought they were snubbed for the CFP.

The Wreck struggled down the stretch, but King can single-handedly keep Tech in this one, maximizing the stack potential for BYU.

Bear, Parker Kingston, and Chase Roberts are going to be the popular stack, but I'm including Moa as well with Martin out. The track record says that BYU will just run more with Bear, but I can see Moa having a good game for his price point.

I don't see any need to force a fifth option here. Carsen Ryan is a solid but inconsistent option. I will be running a BYU four-man and running it back with King and one of his receivers.

Also consider these stacks:

  • Connecticut
  • North Texas (GPP only)
  • Houston (GPP only)
