Alonzo Menifield Suffers First-Round Knockout Loss
Alonzo Menifield suffered a first-round knockout loss to former title challenger Volkan Oezdemir on the main card of UFC Qatar on Saturday. There wasn't much Menifield could do as Oezdemir immediately started pressuring Menifield, and it didn't take long for Oezdemir to knock Menifield out. After hurting Menifield with a left knee, Oezdemir followed up with punches, and Menifield was out on his feet before Oezdemir crumbled him to the canvas. In 1:27 of action, Menifield landed only two significant strikes. With the loss, Menifield dropped to 10-6-1 in the UFC.
