Welcome Back, RotoBallers! We have another action-packed Sunday slate to break down. We have a full 13-game slate featuring several of the top arms in the sport, including Paul Skenes and Zack Wheeler.
On the hitting side, we could see fireworks in Camden Yards and the Dodgers will look to light up the scoreboard facing a familiar friend in Boston.
This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 7/27/2025, with the slate starting at 1:35 PM EST. The lineup picks will showcase elite players, mid-priced options, and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Paul Skenes, SP - PIT ($10.9K DK/$10.9K FD)
When Paul Skenes is on the slate, don't think too hard. The former LSU standout is on track to enjoy an impressive sophomore campaign, boasting a stellar 1.91 ERA and a 0.91 WHIP across 127 innings of work.
This afternoon, he will face the Arizona Diamondbacks, who have hit the ball quite hard since the start of the month. However, they shipped off Josh Naylor earlier in the week and outfielder Randal Grichuk on Saturday evening.
Brandon Woodruff, SP - MIL ($10.5K DK/$10.2K FD)
Brandon Woodruff has been on the mend short of specialty since returning to the bump earlier in July. Through his first three starts, the right-hander has struck out 23 hitters through 16 1/3 innings. He has allowed just three runs and no hits with no walks.
He has a prime matchup against the Marlins, who have generated the 10th-lowest wRC+ this month.
Zack Wheeler, SP - PHI ($10.8K DK/$10.7K FD)
My final pitcher to target is Zack Wheeler. He was solid before, but now, with Aaron Judge hitting the 10-day IL with an elbow injury, he is a top option. Wheeler has struck out double-digit hitters in all but one of his last four outings.
Without Judge, the Yankee lineup looks a lot less frightening. Even in the Bronx, start Wheeler with confidence.
Leaders in SIERA since June 1st:

Tarik Skubal - 2.53

Others To Consider (Cash/GPP):
- Eury Perez, SP - MIA ($8K DK/$8.9K FD)
- Ben Brown, SP - CHC ($7.6K DK/$6.9K FD)

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
All advanced hitting metrics are from July 1 and on
Will Smith, C - LAD ($4.8K DK/$3.4K FD)
Will Smith will be facing a familiar friend, Walker Buehler, this afternoon. Buehler began deploying his cutter more frequently in July (highest pitch usage, 22.4%), and it has not bode well for him. This pitch has posted a high .517 xwOBA. While he enjoyed two strong starts in his last two outings, he is due for massive regression.
Much of that will come at the hands of Smith, who can hit cutters exceptionally well. Since the start of the month, the backstop has posted a remarkable .833 xwOBA when facing them from righties.
Jordan Westburg, 2B/3B on both DK and FD - BAL ($4.5K DK/$3.2K FD)
Despite missing time due to injuries, when active, Jordan Westburg has been a very productive hitter. Over his last seven games, Westburg has posted a strong .321/.345/.500 line with two doubles and al ong ball. He should be in a prime position to keep rolling, facing Colorado southpaw Austin Gomber.
Gomber relies heavily on a fastball, which has not found much success (.423 xwOBA). When facing four-seamers from southpaws, Westburg has generated a .485 xSLG. Expect the 26-year-old to stay hot in the batter's box.

Josh Smith, 1B/3B on DK, 1B/2B/3B/SS/OF on FD - TEX ($3.5K DK/$2.6K FD)
My final infielder to spotlight is Josh Smith of the Texas Rangers. Smith will face Atlanta right-hander Bryce Elder, who has thrown his sinker just over 50% of the time this month. When facing sinkers from right-handed pitching, Smith has generated a stellar .647 xwOBA, which is the highest mark on the team among hitters who have seen at least 20 sinkers.
Even though Smith enters this game in a bit of a slump, holding an underwhelming .143/.250/.190 line over his last eight contests, he is in a prime position to bounce back. Before this skid, Smith held a stellar .305 with an .846 OPS over his last 15 contests.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):
- Ezequiel Tovar, SS - COL ($3K DK/$2.8K FD)
- Corey Seager, SS - TEX ($5K DK/$3.2K FD)
- Jose Altuve, 2B/OF on both DK and FD - HOU ($4.8K DK/$3.1K FD)
DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
All advanced hitting metrics are from July 1 and on
Mickey Moniak, OF - COL ($3.8K DK/$2.9K FD)
Mickey Moniak has enjoyed a career resurgence in Colorado. Entering Saturday, the former first overall pick is riding an impressive nine-game hitting streak where he has posted a .400/.462/.714 slash line with two doubles and three home runs.
He will face Tomoyuki Sugano, who has struggled to command his four-seamer. When facing four-seamers from right-handed pitching this month, Moniak has posted an elite .711 xSLG with a .585 xwOBA.
Adolis Garcia, OF - TEX ($4K DK/$3K FD)
Like his teammate Smith, Garcia has an outstanding matchup facing sinker-heavy right-hander Elder. When facing sinkers from right-handed pitching, Garcia has generated a remarkable .992 xSLG, which is nearly 200 more points than Smith's mark.
However, unlike his teammate, Garcia enters this game riding a solid power surge, swatting four long balls with a .523 SLG over his last 11 contests. Start Garcia with confidence.

Ramon Laureano, OF - BAL ($4K DK/$3.3K FD)
My final hitter to spotlight is Ramon Laureano of the Orioles. Like Westburg, Laureano enters this game swinging a hot bat and should continue to keep rolling, facing the southpaw, Gomber. Over his last 11 games, Laureano has posted a .286/.286/.619 slash line with two doubles and four round-trippers.
When facing four-seamers from left-handed pitching (Gomber's most-used pitch this month), Laureano has generated an elite .569 xSLG with a .417 xwOBA.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):
- Wyatt Langford, OF - TEX ($4.3K DK/$3.3K FD)
- Jordan Beck, OF - COL ($4K DK/$2.8K FD)
- Tyler O'Neill, OF - BAL ($3.1K DK/$3K FD)
DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks
All advanced hitting metrics are from July 1 and on
1. Texas Rangers vs. Bryce Elder
The right-hander has run into some trouble over his last six outings. During this stretch, he has posted a hefty 8.89 ERA with a 2.34 WHIP. Through these 27 1/3 innings, he has struck out just 21 batters while allowing 15 free passes. Under the hood, he holds a fifth percentile xERA and a third percentile xBA.
As noted above, his primary pitch, his sinker (50.2% usage in July), has posted a rough .377 xwOBA and a .522 xSLG since the start of the month. Expect the Rangers to light up the scoresheet in this one.
Favorite Combo: Garcia, Smith, Seager, Langford
2. Los Angeles Dodgers at Walker Buehler
While Buehler has begun to turn the corner, his underlying metrics suggest he is due for a step back. Currently, the former Dodger sits in the 11th percentile in xERA and the 14th percentile in xBA.
His primary pitch this month has been his cutter, which has generated a .763 xSLG with a .517 xwOBA. Expect the Dodgers to take advantage of this and kick in some expected regression on Buehler.
Favorite Combo: Smith, Ohtani, Kim, Freeman
3. Colorado Rockies at Baltimore Orioles
I am cheating a bit with my third option, but I strongly support a game stack between the Orioles and Rockies. The Orioles will be facing the southpaw, Gomber, who currently sits with a 5.03 xERA and a .273 xBA.
The Rockies also have a prime matchup facing Sugano, who enters this game sitting in the third percentile in xERA and first percentile in xBA. As noted above, Sugano has a weak four-seamer, which has posted a hefty .609 xSLG and a .427 xwOBA this month.
Favorite Combo Orioles: Laureano, O'Neill, Westburg, Henderson
Favorite Combo Rockies: Beck, Moniak, Tovar, Freeman
