Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Dennis Gardeck (undisclosed) was placed on the active/Physically Unable to Perform list on Saturday. The 30-year-old spent his entire career with the Arizona Cardinals. Unfortunately, he suffered a torn ACL in the Week 7 meeting with the Los Angeles Chargers, ending his 2024 season prematurely. Gardeck has appeared in 96 regular-season contests, totaling 156 tackles (117 solo), 17 sacks, and two interceptions. While he should provide valuable leadership to a Jags defense that struggled last season, he likely won't be a viable IDP contributor. Gardeck can begin practice immediately once medically cleared.--Dennis Clausen
