The Jacksonville Jaguars released tight end Patrick Murtagh on Thursday, according to NFL.com. The 25-year-old Australian joined the NFL International Player Pathway in 2023 and was assigned to the Detroit Lions before stepping down due to a medical issue. He then spent time with the Jaguars in 2024 and this offseason before being cut. The organization recently signed former Buffalo Bills tight end Quintin Morris, and has Brenton Strange, Johnny Mundt, and Hunter Long already on the roster. Based on development thus far, it would be a surprise if Murtagh ever appears in an NFL game.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBaller
