Bucky Irving fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 8 (2024). Should you start or sit Bucky Irving for fantasy football lineups in Week 8?
BALLER MOVE: Sit in all formats until we get a better idea of how Tampa Bay's backfield shakes out
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB3
ANALYSIS: The Bucs kicked off the season as fantasy gold. Baker Mayfield was on fire, slinging it to Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, making it rain fantasy points with enough left over to keep both Rachaad White and Bucky Irving happy in the backfield.
But by Week 8, it’s a whole different ball game. Evans and Godwin are riding the pine with injuries, and what used to be a dynamic duo in the backfield has now ballooned into a crowded trio with the addition of Sean Tucker. It’s turned messy.
#Bucs HC Todd Bowles said barring anything happening, Bucky Irving should be okay to play.

Last week, White took the lead with 47.5% of the snaps, Irving was on his heels with 35.3%, and Tucker was the caboose with 19.5%. Despite the congestion, White remains the best fantasy bet because of his reliable hands, making him versatile no matter how the game swings.
However, let's talk about Irving. The guy’s seen a decent share, but this backfield's turned into a minefield with the Bucs facing a stout challenge against the Falcons this week. If you're eyeing Irving, it might be wise to look elsewhere, because this ship's navigating through some rough fantasy waters. For now, it’s White or bust if you're diving into Tampa’s murky backfield.
