Tank Bigsby fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 8 (2024). Should you start or sit Tank Bigsby for fantasy football lineups in Week 8?
BALLER MOVE: Start in all formats if Travis Etienne is ruled out for Week 8
POSITIONAL VALUE: Low-end RB2 with upside
ANALYSIS: Tank Bigsby has impressed since being thrust into action due to multiple injuries to fellow running back Travis Etienne. So far on the year, Bigsby has 67 rush attempts for 415 yards and four touchdowns. The bad news is Bigsby's pass-catching chops are limited. He's seen just two targets and has one reception for 28 yards.
Big test of #Packers tackling ability on Sunday.
Aptly named RB Tank Bigsby has 25 forced missed tackles on only 67 carries! And he's averaging 4.58 yards after first contact!

Bigsby did see an increase in his role on passing downs in Week 7, taking part in nearly 48% of those plays. That's a notable bump, signaling he might be inching towards a more rounded role.
As for Travis Etienne's availability for Week 8, that's still up in the air, and it could significantly impact Bigsby's deployment. As it stands, Bigsby’s shown he can be a force when given the chance, especially on early downs. He's got some eye-catching stats, ranking eighth in explosive run rate, and 18th in evading tackles, and, impressively, he's the top dog in grinding out those yards after contact among 66 qualifying backs.
The Jaguars sit at 2-5 and the only worry for Bigsby for fantasy is that he could be a game-script-dependent back if he doesn't start playing more on passing downs.
