Chase Brown fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 8 (2024). Should you start or sit Chase Brown for fantasy football lineups in Week 8?
BALLER MOVE: Start in all formats as your RB2/Flex option
POSITIONAL VALUE: High-end RB3 with added value if your league awards points for kick returns
ANALYSIS: Brown is an explosive running back with the ability to take one to the house on any given play. The bad news is that he has yet to eclipse 17 touches in a game, which means we need him to be ultra-efficient with those touches.
Chase Brown had a 60.4% snap share for the #Bengals last week.
He is:
- #11 in Fantasy Points Per Opportunity (1.08)
- #9 in Total Touchdowns (4)
- #7 in True Yards Per Carry (5.3)Can Brown’s explosiveness lead to more touches in the coming weeks? 📈pic.twitter.com/4PEqASsVmH

Last week, Brown was on the field for 58% of the snaps, touching the ball 17 times for a solid 63 yards. More tellingly, he’s dominated the red zone plays, taking 100% of those snaps, while ceding some passing down duties to fellow teammate Zack Moss.
The stars are aligning in this week’s matchup against Philadelphia. According to Derek Brown of FantasyPros, the Eagles have given up some of the highest yards before contact per attempt, not to mention they’re pretty soft against zone run schemes, which is right up Brown’s alley. He’s run 62.1% of his carries in zone setups, and with Philly struggling against this kind of attack, Brown could be in for a monster day.
