Sam Darnold fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 8 (2024). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Darnold for your fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start in all 1-QB formats where you don't have an elite option
POSITIONAL VALUE: Mid-range QB1
ANALYSIS: Sam Darnold has cooled off the last two weeks, but his resurgence this year under Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell has been awesome to watch. The Vikings currently sit at 5-1 and almost beat the Detroit Lions in Week 7 before losing on a last-second field goal.
Darnold has three QB1 finishes in six games under his belt thus far and he gets a juicy matchup against a depleted Los Angeles Rams defense on Thursday Night Football in Week 8.
He is a must-start in just about all formats in Week 8.
As a society we need to ask ourselves why Sam Darnold is on this list and Justin Jefferson isn’t… basically on pace for 100-1500-15 and is probably the best player in the league pic.twitter.com/o5H0SeQOjR https://t.co/jZOAhh2P0K

There has been a little bit of chatter about Darnold being included in a swap for Matthew Stafford, but they haven't been verified by any credible sources. While Darnold might still make a few boneheaded plays here and there, he is a relatively solid option in fantasy the rest of the way.
