Today's MLB Betting Picks - Dodgers @ Twins

The Dodgers won't lose many series this year, but we have them Monday coming off a shellacking and a series loss in Chicago. That's going to be a quiet plane ride to Minnesota as the offense mentally prepares to get back on track to start a new week.
Bailey Ober really struggled in his first start this year, and while I do expect him to improve and hover just below a 4.00 ERA on the year, a date with an angry group of Dodgers is not what you want to see after a rough 2024 debut. The Twins also have a questionable bullpen with their stud closer Jhoan Duran still injured to start the season.
Meanwhile, James Paxton was lights out in his introduction to Dodger Blue, and he gets a favorable matchup in Minnesota to try and double down. With a plethora of lefties that will be fighting Paxton's nasty stuff alongside declining veterans in Carlos Correa and Byron Buxton, the Twins will struggle to find run production against the Dodgers' southpaw and rested bullpen.
The Twins surprise off day on Sunday, the Dodgers' Sunday night travel, and a slow start to the season for LA gives us plenty of value in this line. I like the away team to get up early and tack on a run or two late to win this one by three or four runs, getting that nasty Cubs taste out of their mouths in a hurry.

Today's MLB Betting Picks - Nationals @ Giants

Left-handed starter Blake Snell will make his debut with the San Francisco Giants on Monday night, just a few short weeks after signing with the club towards the very end of spring training. He'll face right-handed starter Trevor Williams for the Washington Nationals.
Snell is a great signing for a Giants team that will need to be strong in the pitching department to make up for a few question marks on the offensive side of things. The Nats lineup is underrated for the most part, but Jesse Winker and Joey Gallo tend to struggle against southpaws, making the order noticeably weaker against LHPs.
As for the Giants, they have a handful of strong OBP guys with Jorge Soler, Michael Conforto, and Matt Chapman mixed in. Williams specializes in creating soft contact and mis-hits, which should play very well in San Fran's spacious venue.
I don't trust either one of these bullpens at the moment, but both starters should be able to avoid real damage the first two times through the order. I'll take the First 5 Under four and a half runs here!
