Tyler Boyd's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 13 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Tyler Boyd for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Sit in 14+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR5
ANALYSIS: Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd had low expectations entering the year. However, the veteran wide receiver has been solid for fantasy players. He is the WR48 for the season, averaging 7.6 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. Boyd has 50 receptions on 72 targets for 462 receiving yards and two touchdowns this year.
The veteran wide receiver has played a meaningful role on offense, with Tee Higgins struggling to stay healthy. He has scored 12 or more fantasy points in three games in 2023, including a season-high 15.7 three weeks ago against the Houston Texans.
However, Boyd has struggled over the past two weeks. The former Pittsburgh Panther has six receptions on 11 targets for 45 receiving yards and 7.5 fantasy points in the past two games.
Meanwhile, he has an appealing matchup tomorrow night. The Jacksonville Jaguars have surrendered 30.6 fantasy points per game to wide receivers this year, the seventh-most in the NFL. Furthermore, they gave up 234 receiving yards, two touchdowns, and 44.6 fantasy points to the Texans wide receiver core last week.
Yet, fantasy players shouldn’t start Boyd. The veteran is droppable in all redraft leagues after the Bengals lost Joe Burrow for the season.
