DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (6/11/22): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

Yordan Alvarez - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on June 11, 2022. Mike Marteny's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

There are a couple of leftover aces from last night, but there are a whole lot of mediocre or worse options out there as well. Chopping the slates up doesn't help any. This looks like a day to pay up at pitcher unless you don't mind chugging Pepto while watching baseball. Hey, I'm not judging!

We have a  couple of middle-tier options on DraftKings that I am good with as my second pitcher, but I have reservations about throwing a guy like Mike Clevinger and his 75-pitch cap on FanDuel. There are many ways to attack this slate to get what we want, so let's dive right in!

As always, this article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel. Saturday's main slate locks at 4:05 EST on 6/11/2022. The lineup picks will range from some elite high-priced players to mid-priced options, and value plays. I'll give you a few of my top pitching options and then some infielders, outfielders, and teams to stack! You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups. Now that we got all of that out of the way, it's onto the picks!

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Kevin Gausman @ DET ($10,300 DK, $10,600 FD)

Yes, Gausman is the low-hanging fruit. So is picking on the Tigers. Gausman is the easy cash play on both sites, and I still like anchoring a GPP lineup or three with him on DraftKings. He strikes out a lot of batters (10.16 per nine) and has slashed his walk rate like a winter clothing sale in July. Gausman's 0.97 BB/9 is one of the best out there. Oh....he's not allowing homers either. The 3.2% HR/FB ratio won't hold, but the Tigers aren't going to be the ones to break it.

The Tigers have only hit 30 homers in 57 games and are one of the least patient teams in the league when it comes to drawing walks (6.7% walk rate). They are also only hitting .221 as a team. This is just not a good offense and they play in one of the largest parks in the universe, so yeah, I'm plucking the low-hanging fruit here. Gausman has a legit shot at 30+ DraftKings points in this one. No one else does.

Zach Plesac vs. OAK ($6,500 DK, $8,100 FD)

Let's get the bad stuff out of the way first: Plesac hasn't won a game since April 21 and has an unsightly 4.72 ERA. The strikeouts are down, which is hard to swallow in DFS circles. However, Plesac has racked up 18 strikeouts in his last three starts and only allowed three runs over his last two. He still gives up some homers, but the walk rate (5.5%) is low enough for me to at least consider Plesac. There usually aren't a lot of guys on when he gives up the gopher balls.

The A's are in the middle of the pack when it comes to strikeouts, but they only walk 7.5% of the time and are hitting a dismal .210 with just 37 homers in 60 games. Considering Plesac's only real problem of late has been the long ball, I'm inclined to trust him here with his improved strikeout rate and low walk rate. He's cheap enough to fit some nice stacks in, especially on DraftKings.

Also consider: Zack Wheeler, Mike Clevinger, Charlie Morton

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Alejandro Kirk - C, TOR at Beau Brieske ($5,100 DK, $3,000 FD)

Kirk's price on FanDuel is absolutely comical, and no one plays catchers! Take advantage! On DraftKings, you have to think about him a little more, but Kirk has averaged more than a homer's worth of points (14.8) over the last dozen games he has played in. Brieske is as stinky as his namesake's cheese with an 0-5 record and an ERA near 5. Detroit's bullpen is even worse. Today, Toronto is a great stack, and Kirk will be present in many of my lines, even at that lofty price on DraftKings. He's a free space on FanDuel.

Rhys Hoskins - 1B, PHI vs. Madison Bumgarner ($3,900 DK, $3,200 FD)

Hoskins has caught fire of late. He is hitting .300 with four homers over the last six games. Three of those are in the last three games, including two last night. Bumgarner gives up a higher average to lefties, but nine of the ten homers he has allowed on the season have been to righties. I'm riding the hot hand here at a nice discount. I'll chase homers at a hitters park against a guy who gives up a few.

Maikel Franco - 3B, WAS vs. Eric Lauer ($3,200 DK, $2,600 FD)

Hey, pitchers (and Alejandro Kirk) are expensive. Franco is on a tear of late, hitting .350 with a pair of homers in the last ten games. No pitcher has been able to keep Franco from accumulating at least a couple of points for the entire month of June so far. Lauer has had an impressive season and isn't giving up a lot of homers, but his ERA is nearly 2.5 runs higher on the road and six of his eight homers have been allowed away from Miller Park. The price is right to ride the hot bat of Franco.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Yordan Alvarez - OF, HOU vs. Braxton Garrett ($6,300 DK, $4,200 FD)

Alvarez is putting up video game numbers right now, hitting .513 with five homers and 13 RBI in the last ten games alone! He hits lefties well enough that I don't mind paying up for him here. Garrett got thumped by the Giants in his debut and likely won't be around to face Alvarez more than twice. Alvarez has six hits in the last two games. There is no hotter hitter on the planet right now. Getting to face a rookie in his second start is just gravy.

Hunter Renfroe - OF, MIL at Patrick Corbin ($3,800 DK, $2,900 FD)

Corbin has been one of the worst pitchers in the majors this year (and was last year, for that matter), posting a 2-8 record and a 6.71 ERA. He has only given up less than three runs once (against a depleted Mets team) since April 17! I do question why the Nationals keep proving the definition of insanity, but I welcome Corbin day when building DFS lineups. Righties and lefties have hit Corbin, but I have my sights on Renfroe, who has already hit one home run since coming off the IL on Tuesday. Renfroe boasts a lofty 191 wRC+ against lefties this year. He gets one of the worst around in Corbin today.

Oscar Gonzalez - OF, CLE vs. Frankie Montas ($2,500 DK, $2,400 FD)

Gonzalez hasn't hit his first major league home run yet, but he has hit a robust .404 since his promotion on May 26. We can find room for that in our DFS lineups. Gonzalez has already tallied 22 hits in his first 13 games, only going hitless once. Montas has had a solid season, but Cleveland touched him up a bit earlier this season and luck has favored him in his last couple of starts. They could have ended much worse. I'm not predicting a bomb here, but much like Franco, I'm taking the sure points at a discount so I can get the big bats with the best pitchers.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Here are my top stacks for tonight (in the order in which I like them)

Toronto Blue Jays - Brieske has managed to limit the damage of late, but he has still allowed five homers in his last two starts. The Jays have averaged two homers per game over the last fortnight. There's no way Brieske gets out of this without giving up at least one homer. On top of that, the Tigers bullpen makes dumpster fires look good.

Milwaukee Brewers - Corbin has some nasty reverse splits going on this year, even though all of the homers hit off of him have been by righties. The Brewers have everything you want here. Right-handed power from Adames, Renfroe, and (maybe) Andrew McCutchen to go with good lefty hitters in Rowdy Tellez, Christian Yelich, and Jace Peterson. The bullpen doesn't have much behind Corbin either.

Baltimore Orioles - I never get the Astros right, but if you want to try your hand, this is the place to do it. Besides, I need a value stack and the Orioles provide a lot of that. They have no less than seven righties starting against Daniel Lynch, who has allowed all eight homers to righties this year and averaged one per home start. It's going to be hot in KC today, so those baseballs are going to want to cool off in the Kauffman Stadium fountains anyway.

I hope I gave you a head start on your research today and I wish you the best of luck! If you ever have questions about DFS or fantasy baseball, my DMs are always open and I appreciate you taking the time to read my picks today.
