Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 5:
Tyler Allgeier, Arizona Cardinals
Arizona Cardinals running back Tyler Allgeier experienced his most productive game of the new season in last week's loss to the New York Giants. In Week 4, Allgeier handled eight carries for 42 rushing yards, the most he has had in both categories since Week 1, and scored his first touchdown of the season. In Week 5, Allgeier could see an increased role if Arizona decides not to push Jeremiyah Love (ankle) too hard after the rookie dealt with discomfort in the same ankle where he suffered a high sprain during the preseason.
It would be a great spot for Allgeier to see increased usage, as the Lions have one of the worst defenses in the league. Over four weeks, they are giving up 96.3 rushing yards and one touchdown per game to opposing running backs. Allgeier projects as an RB3 for Week 5, making him a justifiable start in a deep enough league or for a team plugging holes created by a bye week.
Mike Evans, San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Mike Evans (ribs) sandwiched a DNP between two limited practice sessions this week, and yet he does not appear on the Week 5 injury report. Evans suffered an injury to his ribs in Week 3 that forced him to leave that game early, but he was still heavily involved in last week's win over the Broncos.
Ahead of that game, Evans was deemed a game-time decision but went on to catch five passes and led the team with 76 receiving yards and eight targets.
In Week 5, he will be facing a Seahawks secondary that has given up the fewest receiving yards (395) and third-fewest receptions (36) to opposing wide receivers so far in 2026. Evans is already an integral part of the 49ers' passing attack, but he is still hurt and playing against a defense that will be hard to exploit. He can be plugged into fantasy lineups for Week 5 with an expected WR2 ceiling.
RJ Harvey, Denver Broncos
He hasn't been used much in the running game, but Denver Broncos running back RJ Harvey has been a significant factor in the passing game to start the year. Harvey is coming off his most productive performance of the season, finishing a loss to the San Francisco 49ers with 10 receptions on 10 targets for 68 yards. He now has 20 receptions for 132 yards on the season, along with 49 yards rushing on 12 carries, an average of 4.1 yards per carry.
As a result, Harvey is ranked two spots ahead of his backfield mate, J.K. Dobbins, as RotoBaller's RB25 entering Week 5. Harvey is projected to score 10 fantasy points against the Los Angeles Chargers, who allowed Seattle Seahawks running back Emanuel Wilson to finish a Week 4 Seattle win with three receptions for 39 yards and a touchdown.
J.K. Dobbins, Denver Broncos
It's been a slog for Denver Broncos running back J.K. Dobbins to start the year. Dobbins is coming off an 11-carry, 40-yard performance during a loss to the San Francisco 49ers, which was his third straight game averaging 3.6 yards per carry or fewer. He's also been a non-factor in the passing game, recording just three receptions for 16 yards through his team's first four matchups.
Dobbins is RotoBaller's 27th-ranked running back in Week 5 and is projected to score nine points against a Los Angeles Chargers defense that has allowed 121.8 yards rushing per game, 11th-most in the NFL. This past week against the Seattle Seahawks, the Chargers allowed Seahawks running back Emanuel Wilson to finish with 81 yards rushing and a touchdown, but he did so on 21 carries, averaging a limited 3.9 yards per carry.
Emanuel Wilson, Seattle Seahawks
Seattle Seahawks running back Emanuel Wilson has RB2 upside in a Week 5 clash with the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers are No. 23 against opposing running backs in fantasy, allowing 21.73 points per game. Wilson has looked solid in the two games in which he received heavy volume. Additionally, he was a true workhorse in Week 4, racking up 21 carries and four targets.
His two touchdowns led to a 27-point fantasy outing. With Jadarian Price (chest) on IR and Zach Charbonnet (knee) still at least a week away from returning to the lineup, Wilson's role should remain unchanged. The 49ers are allowing big receiving totals to opposing running backs (51.8 yards per game on 7.8 receptions), which bodes well for PPR fantasy managers.
Seattle will also almost certainly try to control this game on the ground, suggesting that Wilson will push for 20-plus carries once again; not to mention, Wilson should receive a goal line carry or two. Start Wilson with confidence this weekend.
