Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks

Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 11:

Courtland Sutton, WR, Denver Broncos

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton will likely struggle against the Kansas City Chiefs at home this week, who rank seventh overall in passing yards allowed per game on average, with just 187.2.

After losing running back J.K. Dobbins (foot) this week due to a tough hip drop tackle that wasn't called. The Broncos may lean more on their passing attack, which could bode well for Sutton if quarterback Bo Nix performs efficiently.

Through 10 games this season, Sutton has been averaging 4.1 receptions per game for 59 receiving yards and 0.4 touchdowns. Coming into Week 11 as RotoBaller's WR32, Sutton is more of a backend WR3 against the Chiefs.

Quentin Johnston, WR, Los Angeles Chargers

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston (shin) is listed as questionable heading into Week 11, but he put in a full practice on Friday, suggesting he is likely to play. Johnston led the team with 10 targets last week, finishing with five receptions for 42 yards.

The Bolts' depleted offensive line is forcing Justin Herbert into quick throws, which has limited the deep connection with Johnston that we saw earlier in the season. Nonetheless, he faces a vulnerable Jacksonville Jaguars secondary that has allowed 31 receptions of 20 yards or more, which plays to Johnston's strengths.

If cleared, he has a favorable matchup against CB Greg Newsome, who allows a 66.7% catch rate. Based on his recent target share and the matchup, Johnston is a viable boom-or-bust WR3 and is ranked as RotoBaller's WR26.

Jauan Jennings, WR, San Francisco 49ers

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings had his most productive game since Week 2 in last week's loss to the Rams. Jennings had a season-high six catches for 71 yards and a touchdown against Los Angeles. The score was his second in as many weeks. Jennings' recent spike in productivity has been a welcome turnaround for fantasy football managers who held onto him through several weeks of injuries and single-digit fantasy scores.

In Week 11, Jennings stands to benefit from the return of Brock Purdy (toe) to San Francisco's starting lineup after a six-game absence. Also coming back is fellow receiver Ricky Pearsall (knee), whose return will be a double-edged sword for Jennings.

On the one hand, Pearsall might eat into Jennings' target share, but on the other, the former's presence might open things up for the latter to do more with less. Jennings projects as a WR3 with upside against a beatable Cardinals secondary in Week 11.

Jerry Jeudy, WR, Cleveland Browns

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy turned in his best performance of the season in a Week 10 loss to the New York Jets. Jeudy caught six of 12 targets for 78 yards and a touchdown in the loss, establishing season-highs across the board for the Browns. He will look to keep it going in a Week 11 home matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.

The Ravens have struggled against opposing wide receivers this season, allowing the fifth-most fantasy points per game to the position, setting up a good opportunity for the veteran speedster in Week 11.

While Jeudy has the momentum and the matchup in his favor, the Cleveland passing attack under Dillon Gabriel has not been very efficient this season, so fantasy managers will want to temper expectations for Jeudy this week. He settles in as a low-end flex for Week 11.

Troy Franklin, WR, Denver Broncos

Denver Broncos wide receiver Troy Franklin has seemingly stolen the WR1 duties away from Courtland Sutton for the Broncos and will continue to maintain his momentum in a difficult matchup with the division rival Kansas City Chiefs at home in Week 11.

Franklin enters the week as the Broncos' leader in catches and receiving touchdowns on the season with 42 receptions and five touchdowns through 10 weeks.

The Chiefs have been stingy against offenses this year, with 291.8 yards per game allowed on average, with 187.2 of those being passing yards. Despite the recent breakout games and high target share, Franklin is RotoBaller's WR36 for Week 11.
