Best Week 6 Defense Streamers - Fantasy Football DST Pickups and Starts

Jared Verse - Defense, DST, Los Angeles Rams DST, IDP Rankings

The top Week 6 defense streamers - fantasy football D/ST pickups, streamers and starts for 2025. Target these fantasy DST streaming options with strong matchups.

Targeting the right defense could be the difference between you losing and winning your fantasy matchup. This past weekend, several defensive units, such as the Houston Texans and the Washington Commanders, enjoyed strong showings, which likely played a key role in managers securing a victory.

This weekend, he has several intriguing options to target, and with over a month of data to analyze, we can identify the optimal defensive units to stream.

Who should fantasy managers look to target on the waiver wire and plug into their starting lineup? Let's dive in!

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Top Week 6 Defense Streamers (D/ST)

Only defenses rostered in fewer than 65% of fantasy football leagues are considered potential streamers.

Los Angeles Rams at Baltimore Ravens
60% Rostered

The optimal streaming option still available in most standard leagues is the Los Angeles Rams. Even though they are coming off a rough showing where they struggled to defend the short-handed San Francisco 49ers in Week 5, they have a prime matchup to bounce back. This weekend, they will face the Blaitmore Ravens, who will likely be without Lamar Jackson (hamstring).

In Week 5, the Texans enjoyed one of their most dominant showings on the slate, facing the Ravens, allowing only 10 points. In this game, Cooper Rush threw three interceptions and was sacked once. Given that the Rams have tallied the third-most sacks in the sport, expect them to bounce back in a big way on Sunday.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Arizona Cardinals
55% Rostered

The Indianapolis Colts have been one of the most consistent options at the position. Through five games, the Colts are averaging a strong 10.2 FPTS/G, which only trails the Jaguars for the most in the league. Last weekend, the Colts took care of business against the struggling Las Vegas Raiders, allowing only six points and tallying two interceptions with four sacks.

This weekend, the Colts will face the Cardinals, who could go without their starting QB, who has been unable to practice on Wednesday and Thursday. Even if Kyler Murray (foot) were to suit up, the Colts provide a safe floor given their ability to pressure the quarterback. If Jacoby Brissett is under center, the Colts become a must-start option.

New England Patriots at New Orleans Saints
45% Rostered

The New England Patriots are coming off one of their most impressive victories of the young season, defeating the then-undefeated Buffalo Bills in Orchard Park. In this victory, the Patriots held Josh Allen to just 20 points. However, they allowed just one interception and one sack. However, they should have a much higher ceiling this weekend facing New Orleans.

Even though Spencer Rattler has begun to turn the corner in his last start, he still enters this contest averaging only 198.0 passing yards per game. Given how well the Patriots shut down Allen, they could be in the mix to hold the Saints to under 10 points, which makes them a top streaming option.

Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers
35% Rostered

Despite only averaging 4.8 FPTS/G this season, the Browns have been one of the most effective defensive units in the sport, allowing the second-fewest yards per game. Despite this, they have allowed the 12th-most potent game, which has negatively affected their fantasy output.

However, while their offense under Dillon Gabriel showed potential in Week 5, their defense could continue to experience some positive regression. This weekend, they will face the Steelers, who are coming off a bye week. The Steelers have only scored 25 or more points once this season and have allowed at least two sacks in all but one game.

If Gabriel can keep the offense on the field more often, the Browns' defense could be in store for a dominant showing.

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Tennessee Titans
40% Rostered

The Tennessee offense enjoyed the best showing of the campaign in Week 5 when they scored a season-high 22 points in the victory over the Cardinals. Despite this, I would still recommend streaming the defense unit they face until they show this production on a consistent basis. In Weeks 1 through 4, the Titans never scored more than 20 points and were even shut out in Week 4 by the Houston Texans.

Outside of his 265-yard day in Week 5, Ward has averaged a very low 153.5 passing yards per game with a 2:2 TD:INT during the first four games of the campaign. While the Las Vegas defense has not been overly productive, they have one of the best matchups on the slate and could easily find a path to produce double-digit fantasy points.
