Top Fantasy Football Injuries From Sunday: Deshaun Watson, Derek Carr, Keenan Allen, Alexander Mattison, Michael Thomas, Mac Jones

Alexander Mattison - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Top Injuries From Week 10 Football for RB, WR, QB, TE (2023), as of 11/13 including Deshaun Watson, Derek Carr, Keenan Allen, Alexander Mattison, Michael Thomas, and Mac Jones.

Week 10 was mostly a mild week for key fantasy football injuries, but there were a few quarterbacks and pass-catchers who exited their games on Sunday. Our fantasy football injuries report highlights the banged-up players with fantasy significance and their early status heading into Week 11 as of Monday, November 13, 2023. This article focuses on players who suffered injuries on Sunday of Week 10 games.

Deshaun Watson, Derek Carr, Keenan Allen, Alexander Mattison, Michael Thomas, and Mac Jones picked up injuries in Week 10.  It's too early to draw conclusions about Week 11 since these players just picked up ailments, but it's never too early to at least take a look at the group of key guys to prepare for waiver wire Wednesday or Thursday.

Deshaun Watson Injury Update

Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson (ankle) threw for 213 yards, one touchdown, and one interception off 20-for-34 passing during the narrow win over the Baltimore Ravens. He added eight carries for 37 yards. While the 28-year-old didn't have the best showing for fantasy managers, it wasn't the worst, which is all anyone can ask for at this point. However, Watson was seen wearing a walking boot after the game, with the signal-caller stating that he "doesn't feel great."

However, he also said "I'll be fine" and added he will be ready for the Week 11 game against the division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers. If Watson cannot play, it will most likely be P.J. Walker under center for the Browns again.

Derek Carr Injury Update

New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr (undisclosed) exited Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings with an apparent upper-body injury. He went into the medical tent before being carted to the locker room, though the team didn't provide immediate information on his status.

At the time of his departure, he had completed 13 of 18 passes for 110 yards. He also took two sacks. In the meantime, Carr was replaced by Jameis Winston.

Keenan Allen Injury Update

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen (shoulder) returned to Sunday's matchup with the Lions. The wideout had 10 catches for 137 yards and a touchdown before he exited briefly because of a shoulder injury. Still, although fantasy managers are certainly thrilled to see Allen return, he will likely take it easy during practice ahead of the Week 11 meeting with the Packers.

However, he should be good to go, assuming he has no setbacks. (ESPN)

Alexander Mattison Injury Update

Minnesota Vikings running back Alexander Mattison (concussion) was ruled out early of the Week 10 game versus the New Orleans Saints. His final stat line includes eight carries for 27 rushing yards. He also caught one of two targets for an additional six yards through the air.

Minnesota is already without Cam Akers (Achilles), so losing Mattison is bad news. That leaves the Vikings with just Ty Chandler and Kene Nwangwu out of the backfield (plus fullback C.J. Ham). Mattison will look to get healthy ahead of Week 11 versus a weak Broncos run defense.

Michael Thomas Injury Update

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas (knee) exited the game against the Minnesota Vikings early. He departed in the first half and will finish Week 10 with two targets, one catch, and nine receiving yards.

Fortunately for Thomas, the Saints have a Week 11 bye, giving him extra time to recover before his next game.

Mac Jones Injury Update

New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones (undisclosed), who was benched in favor of Bailey Zappe in the final two minutes of the Week 10 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Germany on Sunday, underwent X-rays after the game. However, he said he's just dealing with a bruise and will be fine. Jones had just 170 yards passing and a terrible interception in the end zone in the fourth quarter with a receiver open that cost the Patriots the game.

New England has their bye in Week 11, but there's a good chance it will be Zappe, not Jones, starting under center for the Pats when they return in Week 12 to face the New York Giants. The 25-year-old Jones has regressed even more in 2023, a make-or-break year for the former Alabama QB.
