It's been two weeks since our most recent update over the All-Star break, which means we've lost players such as Aaron Judge (elbow), Ronald Acuna Jr. (calf), Byron Buxton (ribs), Kris Bubic (shoulder), Isaac Paredes (hamstring), Jacob Wilson (wrist), Jac Caglianone (hamstring), Tanner Scott (forearm), Felix Bautista (shoulder), Marcelo Mayer (wrist), Alejandro Kirk (head), Grant Holmes (elbow), and more to the injured list. However, at least we've gotten key names back in action, such as Ezequiel Tovar, Brandon Lowe, Zebby Matthews, Austin Riley, Blake Treinen, Kerry Carpenter, Adley Rutschman, and others, including Blake Snell and Luis Gil, on the horizon.
Then we endured an extremely active trade deadline on top of the injury parade. Several key closers and powerful bats are donning new uniforms in August, so we know you have rankings questions that we aim to answer within this piece. And then there's the Emmanuel Clase investigation sprinkled on top, as if we didn't have enough to navigate.
This will be the penultimate update before the end of the year, with one final push at the end of August for the last month. It's time to find our footing on the championship path with our rest-of-season rankings list.
