Fantasy Baseball Players To Monitor Closely
Reese Olson, SP - Detroit Tigers
Rostered: 62% Yahoo!
Estimated Return: Mid-June
Olson was off to a great start this season before developing his current finger injury.
The 25-year-old owns a 2.96 ERA and 51 strikeouts in 48 2/3 innings this season. Olson appeared to be building on his 2024 season, which he finished with a 3.53 ERA.
Olson is available in nearly 40% of Yahoo! leagues, so stash him if you're looking for pitching help.
Dylan Crews, OF - Washington Nationals
Rostered: 56% Yahoo!
Estimated Return: TBD
Crews is dealing with an oblique injury, which helps explain why he was dropped in so many leagues. Oblique injuries are tough to manage, but Crews is worth stashing now.

The 23-year-old has the potential to be a five-tool player, and his numbers were solid before hitting the injured list. Crews has seven home runs and 11 stolen bases this season, despite a poor batting average.
Crews can bring a much-needed offensive spark to the Nationals. Stash Crews wherever he is available.
Eury Perez, SP - Miami Marlins
Rostered: 38% Yahoo!
Estimated Return: Early June
Perez is scheduled to make his eighth rehab start on Tuesday. The 22-year-old has frontline starter potential written all over him.

— Fish On First (@FishOnFirst) June 1, 2025
In his last healthy season, Perez posted a 3.15 ERA and 10.64 K/9 in 91 1/3 innings. Perez is only a couple of years older since then, and he's still young enough to build on his excellent 2023 season.
This is likely the last week Perez will appear on this list, as his return is imminent. Stash Perez because he can return ace-level value.
Ryan Mountcastle, 1B - Baltimore Orioles
Rostered: 29% Yahoo!
Estimated Return: TBD
Baltimore Orioles first baseman Ryan Mountcastle is on the injured list with a hamstring issue, but he possesses some pop that could bring a much-needed offensive boost.

— Os HR A Day (@OsHRADay) March 26, 2025
Despite his home run totals decreasing each of the past three seasons, Mountcastle posted a career-high 30 doubles last season. Mountcastle has also provided strong defense at first base, which should keep his bat in the lineup.
Mountcastle is a worthy stash candidate in leagues with a corner infield spot or deeper head-to-head points leagues.
Nick Kurtz, OF - Athletics
Rostered: 23% Yahoo!
Estimated Return: TBD
Athletics first baseman Nick Kurtz landed on the injured list with a hamstring injury, but was a valuable asset before that.

— Athletics on NBCS (@NBCSAthletics) May 22, 2025
Kurtz has a ton of raw power, as shown by his 450-foot home run, but his strikeout rate jumped above 30% this season. Despite the swing-and-miss in his game, Kurtz's power is undeniable.
Fantasy managers should pick up Kurtz ahead of his return, because he can be a game-changer in fantasy baseball.
