Should I Start Jerome Ford in Week 12? Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks (2024)

Jerome Ford - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Jerome Ford start or sit advice. Fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 12 (2024). Should I start or sit Jerome Ford for fantasy football?

BALLER MOVE: Sit in all formats unless you have starting RBs on a bye

POSITIONAL VALUE: Low-end RB3

ANALYSIS: Jerome Ford has had a modest role in the Cleveland Browns' backfield this season, posting 57 rush attempts for 279 yards and one touchdown. While those numbers don’t jump off the page, Ford has shown flashes of potential.

Heading into Week 12, he faces a tough matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, who have been stout against the run all season. With six teams on a bye this week, however, some fantasy managers may have to consider Ford as a desperation play just in case.

Last week, Ford played more snaps than Nick Chubb, but that was primarily due to the game script, as the Saints blew out the Browns early. Ford saw extended work in garbage time, which padded his snap count but didn’t reflect a change in his role over Chubb.

Ford could still get some work in Week 12, but expectations should be tempered. This is a tough matchup, and his role remains secondary to Chubb’s when the game is close. If you’re considering Ford, it’s best to view him as an emergency play for deeper leagues. While he has the ability to contribute, this isn’t the week to count on him for significant production unless you’re out of other options.
