Miami Marlins second baseman Xavier Edwards (thumb) has been inserted back into the starting lineup on Saturday. The 26-year-old missed most of Friday's game with what was described as minor thumb soreness, though it was never revealed which hand was affected. That being said, he was used as a defensive replacement late in the Marlins' 4-3 win over the Giants. A day later, he is back in the starting lineup, batting fourth and looking to improve on an already promising 2026 season. Despite batting just .192 in June, he has maintained a solid .291 batting average overall, along with six home runs and 11 stolen bases.--Dave Funnell - RotoBaller
