Wilmer Flores Still Out Wednesday
Wilmer Flores (hamstring) is out of the lineup again for Wednesday's matchup against Pittsburgh Pirates left-hander Andrew Heaney. Rafael Devers will DH and bat second, while Casey Schmitt will play first base and hit fifth. Flores hasn't played since last Friday because of an issue with his left hamstring, but the Giants have elected against placing him on the 10-day injured list. The 34-year-old is hitting a modest .249/.318/380 with 12 home runs, 59 RBI, and 36 runs scored in 380 plate appearances this season. However, Flores has struggled mightily over the past couple of months. He posted a .641 OPS with one home run in June and logged a .605 mark with another HR in July.
