The Minnesota Vikings hired former Los Angeles Rams passing-game coordinator Wes Phillips as their new offensive coordinator on Sunday, according to sources. Minnesota also hired Matt Daniels as their new special teams coordinator. Phillips was with the Rams since 2019 and served as the pass-game coordinator and tight ends coach last season. He started his coaching career in the NFL in 2007 as a quality control coach/offensive assistant with the Dallas Cowboys. Phillips overlapped with head coach Kevin O'Connell in 2017 and 2018 with the Washington Commanders. The role Phillips will have in Minnesota is expected to be similar to the one O'Connell had the last two years with the Rams, with Sean McVay calling plays.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
