Twins Place Willi Castro On Injured List
1 year agoThe Minnesota Twins placed second baseman Willi Castro (oblique) on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to Aug. 12) on Tuesday with a mild left-oblique strain and activated infielder/outfielder Royce Lewis (oblique) from the injured list in a corresponding move. Castro will have a chance to return to the Twins in a week's time because it's a mild injury. The 26-year-old utility man is pretty much only valuable in fantasy leagues for his speed, as he's stolen 29 bases on the year. In 278 at-bats for the Twins this year, Castro is slashing .241/.322/.371 with five home runs, 26 RBI and 42 runs scored in 101 games in his first year in Minnesota.
