Tony Gonsolin Likely To Enter Rotation In Pittsburgh Series
4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Tony Gonsolin (shoulder) will likely make his season debut during the Dodgers' next turn through the rotation, according to Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. Gonsolin has been on the injured list since Spring Training while dealing with inflammation in his right shoulder, and is expected to make one more rehab start with Oklahoma City before rejoining the Dodgers. Over two rehab starts at Triple-A this year, Gonsolin has allowed three runs while striking out seven in 6 2/3 innings of work. As it stands, Gonsolin appears to be in line for a matchup with the Pirates when he is activated, which could make him an interesting streaming option in some formats. However be warned, as the Dodgers may not let him get to five full innings in his first outing back. Regardless, Gonsolin can be worth looking at as a streamer in deeper leagues going forward.
