3 years agoDenver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick caught all four of his targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in the Week 1 season-opening win over the New York Giants by a score of 27-13. Patrick's touchdown catch was a two-yarder at the goal line on a play-action fake. The team's best and most consistent receiver from a year ago had a tough training camp and preseason while dealing with nagging injuries. He will likely battle with second-year wideout KJ Hamler for playing time and targets all season long, but the good news is that Patrick should now see a bigger workload in recent weeks after Jerry Jeudy suffered a high-ankle sprain.
