Sterling Shepard Ruled Out In Week 9
3 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard (quadriceps) has been ruled out for the Week 9 contest against the Las Vegas Raiders after he suffered a new quad injury in the Monday night loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The good news is that the Giants go on their bye next week, so there's a chance that Shepard will be ready to go in Week 11. Kenny Golladay (knee) has a chance to return for the first time since Week 5, and if he does, he and rookie Kadarius Toney (ankle) figure to serve as the team's top two pass-catchers against Las Vegas. Dante Pettis (shoulder) was placed on Injured Reserve on Friday, so Darius Slayton could also have an elevated role this weekend.
