Sterling Shepard, Devonta Freeman Limited In Practice
4 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard (hip, toe) and running back Devonta Freeman (ankle) were both limited in practice on Wednesday. Shepard's injuries aren't believed to be too serious and he should be able to suit up in Week 10 against the Eagles after he played a season-high 78 percent of the offensive snaps last week. He's had at least eight targets in each of his last three games and is a WR3/flex for fantasy managers against a beatable Philly defense. Freeman hasn't appeared in a game since Week 7, but it looks like he'll have a chance to suit up for this important divisional matchup on Sunday. On 54 rushing attempts in five games this season, the veteran back has just 3.2 yards per carry for 172 yards and one touchdown, making him a low-upside RB3/4 for managers in deeper leagues if he returns to the fold. Wayne Gallman has served as the lead back with Freeman sidelined, and he'd likely continue to see touches alongside Freeman and Dion Lewis.
