Carolina Panthers general manager Scott Fitterer said that he expects recently acquired cornerback Stephon Gilmore (quadriceps) to come off the Physically Unable to Perform list after Week 6 and be ready to make his team and season debut in Week 7 against the New York Giants. The Panthers acquired Gilmore on Wednesday for a 2023 sixth-round pick after he and the New England Patriots were unable to reach a contract extension. Carolina's secondary has allowed just 181.3 passing yards per game (second-fewest in the NFL) in their first four games, and Alexander, the Defensive Player of the Year in 2019, will only bolster their defense if he can return to his pre-injury form. The Panthers defense will be a low-end starting unit in Week 5 against the Philadelphia Eagles.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
